Absolutely less than worthless.
You can find better, simpler, faster routes with the Apple Maps app or simply by clicking on the “printable system map” link on the via website, without letting two data miners (this and the Transit app it will make you load) steal and sale every piece of personal info on your iPhone.
Unable reset password
When attempting to reset a password, the email with the link displays a consistent “Link is no longer valid. Check your email for a newer one.” It happened to me and a coworker probably 20 times today. Suppose to hear back from Via but am not hopeful. Also frustrating was a
customer rep telling me they are not “Seeing my error on their end.” Why reps say this is beyond me and is perhaps the most unhelpful comment. If you cannot get into the app because you need a password reset, you can’t use the app at all.
Awesome App
I was in SA for work and needed to use the bus system for the first time. It’s easy to purchase a ticket. Use the “Transit” app for live bus updates and exact stop numbers. Fabulous experience. I wish it told me if a bus was a ‘normal’ route or an ‘express’ route.
Rip off
This app was perfectly fine until they forced you to pay for either a weeks worth or a month worth of tickets.
Needed a bus pass today and had to buy a weeks pass for $12. I just needed a ride today. What a horrible service. Save you money not getting this app and pay in cash next time.
What a SCAM.
Student Registration Doesn’t Work
I created an account using my Alamo student email but didn’t receive any other instructions to get my UPass even after verifying my email. I’ve talked to several people from the customer service number provided in other reviews and still have not been helped properly. The process of getting student emails into the hands of Via is seriously wrong. It shouldn’t be this hard to get a student U-Pass. Because of y’all’s outdated app I’ve missed buss routes. Appreciate it.
Trash App
This app is so trash! no wonder it’s rated 2 stars I’m shocked that it got to that level. Clearly needs to make updates on this app. The times are always wrong. In my opinion whoever made this app should immediately fire themselves.
Excellent bus service average app
Logging in is painful. Even though I have the right password it blocks me. I share one account with the kids and that causes a lot of pain on the app. I created a new account and when it comes to saved cards it just stalls and goes nowhere. I really hope you guys can up the game on the app so that it is as excellent as the bus service
Why break something that’s not broken?
Just like the title says…. buggy, slow, unresponsive with error alerts. Why do I have to except the terms every time I want to buy a ticket? Why do I have to enter my card information? And half of the time I submit a transaction I always get a error message. I guess via got bored and decided to redesign a whole new app instead of keeping the previous
It’s OK
The app was straightforward and easy to set up, and I created an account with my school’s instructions through an email I was sent.
They stated I would receive a pass within 10 minutes and that did not happen. I was able to verify my email but I am still awaiting a confirmation of the pass.
I attempted to use the Virtual Assistant but it navigated me to my mobile browser and showed a 404-error and was unavailable.
I am able to pay for and add a pass based on my needs as there is a variety of options to choose from, but this is not necessary for me.
I will update once I receive my pass/and or am able to utilize the virtual assistant.
