Some gripes so far: The quality keeps dropping to 144p regardless of what I set the default to be. If the video needs to buffer a bit, fine, but don't switch just to keep it playing; it's useless if I need to read the screen. There are no visible skip buttons, which was confusing at first and is very finicky now. A setting to make them visible would be nice. I sometimes need to close a video and reopen it if the app's been suspended in the background. Niches: I would appreciate a way to disable shorts and always play them in regular form (this is possible in a browser by redirecting "shorts" to "watch" with the same video id).

I owe developers everywhere an apology because I don't review apps i use enough...but this one i felt compelled to change that. I've used this app daily now for over 2 years, and I've been very satisfied the whole time. As always there's a couple minor things I'd change, mostly just the full screen button.***(see footnote below) But overall, this app just works consistently, day after day. I don't have to be a developer to know how hard it is to keep an app that dependable on iOS as it has to flawlessly integrate changes in iOS and yt API. The team beyond Video Lite has done an extraordinary job in that respect! ***For some reason they designed it so the fullscreen button opens a selection box to choose full screen or pip, making the "full screen" action two steps unnecessarily. Pip should just be a separate button, no selection box for either.)

lately an error pop up ( enhanced player does not support high resolution...etc) it annoying! + regular player cut off when lock screen *before that app was the best
