Vinegar - Tube Cleaner

Every new Philip DeFranco video always ends up in a Fallback loop where only few seconds are repeated constantly. There is no way to recover beyond disabling the plug in. It's really frustrating. I can provide screen recording if needed

Love the extension, it’s almost necessary with the amount of junk YouTube throws at you these days. Feature request: is it possible to automatically go into full screen video if the phone is rotated from portrait to landscape?

Works great! But often will start a video then stop. Have to refresh page and hope it’s ready to roll second time. Doesn’t like going from portrait to landscape. But great apart from those things

I feel like I basically have no reason to get YouTube premium now. Only thing that needs fixing is the video has to restart if I put my phone in landscape after starting it in portrait

Such a good alternative to paying for YouTube Premium, plus the traditional HTML video player is a lot nicer than YouTube’s interface. Thanks for this!

Using Extract, audio randomly decreases volume to 50% when in background. And frequently the page must be force reloaded through the Safari URL bar to work.

I’m not sure what’s going on since support hasn’t replied to my inquiry but this latest update no longer functions fully. Buyer beware.

December 28 2024 Update : I switched back to Vingar instead of Extract, and everything is working almost normally. Video titles are visible, as are the tools and subtitles. However, the subtitles are oddly positioned in the bottom left corner. Issue : YouTube keeps playing videos at 360p, without the option to choose video quality or enable subtitles. I also noticed that the first line of video titles disappears. Specifications: iOS 18.2

I’ve had this extension for a while, I bought it originally for my iPhone and works wonders! I recently purchased a matchbook pro and I constantly seem to be having problems with it. When I play YouTube videos it constantly stops playing videos and I can’t play them, I would have to refresh the page. I would also get on the top left corner of the video (Vinegar Off) message something about YouTube turned it off and possibly needing VPN to fix this issue? not sure what is going on.

Vinegar works great and provides a great alternative to YouTube’s absolutely insane and consumer unfriendly premium prices. The only real complaint I have with Vinegar is that if a video is buffering you often times cannot change the quality until the video loads which can sometimes cause a limbo state if your connection is poor at the time.
