VLC media player

Great app, been using it for years now, but since the last update playback from an SMB file share doesn't work anymore. I've tried enabling and disabling SMB v1 both on the iOS app settings and on my server, but it still doesn't work. I can access the share from other devices on my local network without problem. I see others with the same problem and even bugs closed in the bug tracker, but I don't understand what settings to use.

The developers of this app got my upmost respect. The fact that every other app on the market either sells your data to shady mfrs, is full of ads or cost an arm and a leg to use. This app though does none of that and everyone complaining should go back to paying 12 bucks a month to listen to music in a file format that if their subscription ended they couldn’t even use anymore. Anyways god bless the devs of this app.<3

Die gut funktionierende App, welche im Gegensatz zum immer schlechter gewordenen Apple Music einfaches hinzufügen einzelner Alben über Cloud,NAS oder in meinem Fall wlan-Freigabe ermöglicht. Einzige Kritikpunkte: 1) keine Suchfunktion. 2) umbenennen eines Albums nicht möglich (wenn der ursprungsordner „Suite d-dur“ hiess, möchte ich zum Beispiel „Johann Sebastian Bach“ ergänzen können

after a long time a handy app, they messed it up … shuts down in the middle off the video or jumps to the next - really annoying

the developers of this app work for FREE. STOP COMPLAINING. Should they add ads/subscription plan? No? Then stop whining and be happy they are producing open source software for you lazy people for FREE with NO ADS

Why on earth did you remove this feature?

Nice app but there is no easy way to project something onto an Apple TV. Airplay is just broken. Also it is really unfortunate that there is no Apple Watch App, as I would want to listen to some music/podcasts while on the go, when I don't have my Phone with me

The app is pure trash. Suddenly quits when having a passcode and lock orientation. X on top left to close a video has a hitbox of like 1px, when changing landscape to normal the positiom of the overview list changes, when playing files on repeat it stutters for like 3 seconds. Basic UI is made very bad.
