There are a huge number of movie formats, and VLC can convert most of them - but it can't convert everything. If you have any doubts, then please try the free version of this application first.

- VLC Streamer will not play DRM protected videos. Videos from the iTunes store do include DRM.
- VLC Streamer is designed to work on your local network, and the free helper app has to run on your Mac or PC.

- Supports Mac OS 10.7 and above.

• It is an annual subscription. It gets rid of the adverts and unlocks all functions, including downloading movies to your device
• Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
• Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period
• Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase

Easy to use, quick and reliable. If I used this more than once or twice a year I’d pay the subscription fee. Or if there was a one time perpetual licence I’d go with that as the app has been excellent and useful to stream stuff from PC to iPad. Ofc most now have streaming services, but for us without, this app provides a great way to get those ‘totally legally download’ files onto iPad. Thanks

Easy to set up and use, worked straightaway, streamed without issue and quality very good - I’ve hundreds of DVDs, some of films not available on iTunes, and have been trying to figure out quick and easy way to stream them - finding this app solved the problem. Well worth £2.99 subscription.

... instead of this second-rate knockoff. The 'developers' have even used the icon for the genuine software. This app is near to being a scam, and so it deserves a rating of 0 stars.

I downloaded this app purely to point out that the genuine VLC Player does everything that the paid-for version of this copy can do, and much better. Furthermore, VLC Player is free-of-charge, being supported by Voluntary Donations.

Don't waste your time with this app; pick the real deal instead.

I find it highly questionable that you have to agree to NOT requesting a refund if you use or download this app within 14 days. 
How the heck do you know how ineffective it is until you have used it? 

Being a great fan of the VLC player on my Windows PC, I had high hopes for this. However, it is next to useless. Buffering is a massive problem - even though my internet speed doesn't cause this with anything else. 

Also, if you pause a movie to go back to it, it rarely plays. 

I am extremely disappointed and not happy that I cannot now request a refund.

I had the free version but because I wanted to download the movies directly on to my iPad so I watch them without streaming, I paid for the full version. You can imagine how disappointed I was when I embarked on a 4hours+ coach trip yesterday and all the videos kept cutting off after a few minutes of watching - yes, all the videos. It was annoying to say the least. The vlc streamer app seems really buggy, and this needs to be fixed asap as it is not fair to keep my money yet deliver little to no value

I used to swear by this app. Would recommend it to everyone however, it is now really unstable and keeps losing connection. Then showing a message that operation could not be completed. Can't even stream a TV show in one go without failures.

No matter what setting I choose the quality of the playback from this app is awful.  HD movies have some kind of horrendous stutter and incredibly poor bit rate, even if I manually enter a high but rate that app seems to max out at 600Kbps for the video, which may be acceptable if the stuttering frame rate was ok. Compared to YouTube this is in another league, you'd think YouTube was running on the home LAN and this on a slow dial up internet connection.  Find an alternative app, there's much better ones out there.
