update: there’s now an option for setting the transcription language! Although in the system settings the dictation language is set to german, voiceliner tries to transcribe in english, which obviously doesn’t really work. This way the app is not really usable for non english speakers.

I’m sure it’s a great app but it won’t let me get past the tutorial without crashing.

it could do punctuation. Nevertheless, I rated it five stars since it has so much going for it, especially the price!

Fills a sweet niche in the (ever expanding) space of note taking apps! This is a great fit for on the go note taking. I really like the seamless integration between voice transcription, text notes, and location. The location is a killer feature IMO, since I often want to go back and retrace the set of steps that led to that thought (and location is a really strong cue).

Voice memos are hard to organize, and writing out thoughts or notes manually doesn’t provide as much flexibility or speed as speaking. Voiceliner is an improvement because it gives me the flexibility and speed of speaking *and* the ability to quickly organize my thoughts. Great idea & implementation 💯
