After that you’ll be overrun by players who have paid for equipment that lets them win 100%. You’ll still find teams that get you a 20% to 50% win streak. If you’re not caught up in winning then here you’ll find beautiful graphics and excellent interactive play with one to 13 other players. Hundreds of weapons, robots, drones, etc. and various combinations. I have played this since 2017 but if I had to start all over I would simply delete the game because without spending thousands of dollars it takes over a year to play competitively. The developers may have understood the idea of balance at some point during the first year but that is way in the past. They keep making new weapons with tons of firepower but bots have limited health so many are destroyed as soon as they spawn. For huge sums of money players can buy temporary advantages (30-90 days) that instantly destroy enemies and prevent their robots from being destroyed. If you do choose to buy the winning advantage get ready to make that purchase again in a couple months because all purchases get nerfed eventually when they want to sell a new product. Skill no longer has a place in this game. It is all about wallet size. So when you see them being used by the other team you think ”well there’s no point staying in this battle,” cuz you’re most likely just going to get destroyed. You can barely get any weapons or robots, and definitely can’t get any of the actual good weapons before they get nerfed down to not even being good any more. They call it a rebalance, but it’s really just to keep people buying the new best robots and weapons because when they release the new one’s they are superior to everything else by far. The game has always had solid mechanics, interesting maps, and a fun mix of bots and weapons. But from early on, it was clear this is a pay-to-win game. Grinding to competitive levels without spending money takes years, while new content often costs hundreds or more if you go the paid route. I’ve occasionally spent money when it felt worth it, but I’ve mostly relied on grinding. Still, it’s hard to keep up with the meta. Every few months, new bots and weapons are released that are extremely overpowered and often locked behind expensive or luck-based systems. Free paths to these items exist but, by the time you earn them, they’re usually nerfed. The most frustrating issue is seeing brand-new players with full hangars of the latest gear. Unless they’re spending thousands, something doesn’t add up. Hacking isn’t as blatant as it once was, but it still exists, often disguised through inflated damage or defense stats. Despite all this, I still enjoy War Robots. There’s nothing like taking down a new bot with my older setup. I’m not here to bash the game, just sharing my honest experience.
