This is the official Warhammer 40,000 app, an invaluable toolbox of support for planning armies and playing battles of the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop miniatures game.

It includes the full Core Rules, along with key supporting info like rules commentary and tournament companions, that all can be searched and referenced quickly and easily.

This app is the easiest way to plan your Warhammer 40,000 army, always up to date with the latest points and rules in the Battle Forge. 

Using codes in your army’s codex, you can unlock all the datasheets, detachments, stratagems and enhancements for your chosen army. 

And with the new War Journal feature, you can now track the score of your Warhammer 40,000 games as you play.

In addition, the full rules for playing Warhammer 40,000 combat patrol, along with the datasheets for every combat patrol unit, are included in this app for free.

The app is fine, but using the free version as I am is kind of a pain as you are only allowed to have one army list at a time, so having multiple army lists is not possible unfortunately 

The datasheets of units with a released codex are paywalled and you can’t view them

The good points are that you can log the weapon load outs easily and army building is kinda fun 

You can also export and copy your list so it creates a neat list of everything including weapons, points, name of the unit and army name including the battle size like incursion or onslaught

A decent system for looking up the core rules of the game, but you are locked out of the core faction rules and data sheets, even if you buy the premium you only have access to the temporary faction rules witch then get taken from you when they release their antiquated codex books.

Imagine the year is 2023 and someone gives you a few models to play with, one can not look up the rules to use those models as of GWs insane greed. I had to stop my friend from trying to upgrade to the Warhammer+ subscription and explain to him that the only way to get those rules is to go and buy the book and from that overly inflated priced book you get a code to get the rules unlocked on the app…not exactly convenient for the game.

They had something really good going for them with this app but once the greed took over and started charging a fee for something that should be free in the first place made this app completely pointless. Just write your rules down on pieces of paper, it’s free.
