Why did I spend money to buy this app, and I also spent money to activate the AIS function, but I can't get the functions it should have? AIS only displays the information of other ships, but has never been able to get the information of my own ship
I had several charts renewing their subscriptions in this last year. They got the money but the actual charts in app did not update. Emails to support were never answered. Disappointed, cancelling all subscriptions.
My charts subscriptions have been automatically renewed but the actual charts are stale and emails to support go into the bit bucket.
Sounds like they may have gone out of business. Near constant reports online that people can’t access the chart store. I can’t. And they aren’t replying to support emails. Too bad. It was a good app.
Think twice about spending money on this app. They will take your money and you may get some charts but that’s about it. Check blogs and reviews as well. Seems iSailor was purchased by a Russian company and many app features don’t work. I can’t restore my charts, there are no expiration dates on my purchases, and I can’t report a problem or email support. I am probably going to another Nav app. Too bad, I used to love this app!
I had used this app for two years with no issues and was very satisfied. I operate in the James and Chicahominy River area of Va. Late Oct 23 while underway I noticed that the area that I had coverage for was now not covered at all. All there was was the background color used for land. I submitted a support request to Wartsila Customer Support. I received a prompt reply, was given a case number, and asked to provide a screen shot of the problem area, which I did. I received a reply Nov 1 thanking me for my picture, and that my issue was forwarded to the cartography dept for investigation. That is where all communications ended. It is now Apr 2024 and I have received nothing from customer support, in spite of sending several e-mails requesting an update. I’m getting ready for this years boating season and am having the same coverage problem in my cruising area. I cancelled my Wartsila subscription and am giving Savvy Navy a try.
is the only other competitor of poor customer service. I have been trying to troubleshoot with wartsila for 3 months now, with multiple emails, calls, and internet inquiries about the Pilot AIS portion of this App not working. I had a response once, but maybe that Daria Petrova went on a 2 week Vacation. Hopefully she isn’t using iSailor to Navigate, because she’ll be on a perpetual 3 hour tour. Essentially, don’t use this or Pilot Pro as a professional application. There isn’t any technical support since wartsila bought transas.
Successfully used this app for sailing from Seattle to Alaska and back in 2019. It worked great. It has tons of great features which well worth the price. Too bad there hasn’t been any updates in the last years. Would love to have better integration with newer versions of ipad or more customizable instrument panels
Not sure they are still in business. No updates in years and the support site doesn’t work.
People rated down the app when it get from being able to buy the charts for life to subscriptions and it is fair but this app is still the best navigation app out there, by far.
