Wingspan: The Board Game

This is such a great remake of the original board game! The animations and music really add to the calming atmosphere!

This is my very first board game app downloaded and i’m loving it till this day. Its simple and easy to learn. The visuals, soundscape and art is pleasing and comforting. For city-dwellers like myself, this app provides an escape into nature. Its the perfect app to sit back and chill with after a long day of work. I really wish the developers can make more of such app. This is the sole reason i’m writing this review 😁 Kudos to the devs, artists and creators of this beautiful piece !

Played the board game version and decided to get the app. Love the graphics, sound and narration. Hoping for a multiplayer mode where I can play across devices with different friends instead of using the same device.

I really wanted to enjoy the Wingspan app, but the online play is a complete mess. Matches often disconnect or fail to load entirely, making it nearly impossible to enjoy a full game with friends. These issues have been around for a long time, yet the developer seems uninterested in addressing them. Instead of fixing critical bugs, they focus on other updates that don’t improve the overall experience. For an app with such potential, it’s disappointing to see such poor support. Save your money until they fix the basics.

My family is made of huge fans, with one caveat. It’s a great game overall, fun, challenging and educational. Unfortunately the designers got too fancy with the Oceania expansion, and instead of just adding fair birds and bonus cards, they changed gameplay entirely. The nectar thing and some of the ridiculous bird powers is just massive inflation that removes strategy, makes most original birds obsolete, and is not sufficiently balanced by reducing the egg count. Scores go from 90s being a very good score to painfully middle of the road. It’s like baseball in the Steroids era. Not sure why the designers thought a successful game needed a radical design. I am now an expansion pack skeptic going forward

I love playing wingspan board game when I have friends or family here. When I don’t have anyone close this is a great alternative, I play both with bots and with my son’s who also have the on line version. I have not found many errors in the game. The only curious part is when a round goal is for total number of birds on your board, the bots amounts sometimes goes up and down…. That is not possible in the actual game for the total number of birds to go down, but it doesn’t affect really affect my game with them.

I have a family sharing account and my family has been trying to download it, but all of them are saying they will get charged $9.99… looking for help to resolve this.

I have been a big fan of the Wingspan board game for a while and purchased the app version to enjoy with my partner while away from home. The game play is great and really maintains the charm and beauty of the original game. The music is lovely and the sound effects are peaceful and enjoyable. Oftentimes when switching a board game to a digital medium you have a hard time making the game navigable on a screen. A board game gives you lots of visual access to information that can either be lost on a screen, or make the screen too busy to understand. The developers of the digital game have done a great job toeing the line between providing visual information and making the game navigable. Overall, this app is a really enjoyable rendition of the game, and the long distance game play has been hugely entertaining.

Here look, yeah, it's a great game, and a great app. There are a few things that could be better -- for instance, playing online it would be nice to be able to set your move while waiting so that it just goes through when your turn comes around. But overall? Spectacular execution. Excellent replayability. Gorgeous. I do go and buy the extra backgrounds and stuff but it's not at all necessary for the enjoyment of the game.

Love this game but the constant error “check internet connection is starting to make it extremely difficult to play. It is so glitchy I am have to make multiple attempts to make a move as I get booted several times per login. Hopefully a patch is coming.
