Word Vault: Vocabulary Builder

I adore this app. Whenever I find an interesting word that I like, I add it to the app and know that it will later pop up testing me on the meaning and spelling. A great way to expand my vocabulary and have a bit of fun doing it.

I found this app ages ago when I was looking for ways to build my vocabulary in a "gamified" way. Sat on my home screen for ages but I started using it regularly a couple months ago. It's brilliant! The redesigned version is far more powerful, though, letting you control your "review" session and giving everything a much more engaging feel. I am sure to keep up the daily review now. Only one thing I would like to see changed is that your words in review mode don't even give you the first letter as a hint so you're flying blind. Not great for words with synonyms as you can be left scratching your head more than before, and use hints more often (meaning you get lower scores). All round though, it's the best English vocab builder out there. Love it!!

It will be great if the developers add the function of making group of these words...

I love this app but I think it will be better if the words are lower case when in the reviews, we see lower case more often, right?

This app is so helpful. It is exactly what I was looking for. I would love to have given it 5 stars. Two things stopped me. In the review, there are 145 words that come up for review, and I know all of them now. I have more words in the vault, but only the first 145 words ever come up for review. The second problem is that two particular words I have in the vault make the app close every time I tap those words. I think I need an update but can’t figure out how to get it. “App Support” page can’t be found. I would greatly appreciate help with these issues.

I really enjoy this app. I like that it gives you words and an associative picture with it so that you’ll remember what the word is. I also like the fact that it stores those words and pictures so they’re easily accessible if you need to refer to them or need to find a word that fits into a particular part of a sentence. It’s a really really good app. I wish that I gave announcements for new words so that you can build upon that vocabulary. You’ve already started. But overall, it is fantastic to learn vocabulary words, and they have them stick in your mind.

It will collect words, sure. But more importantly, it will help you weave the words you collect into your day-to-day life. This app does good in the world, full stop.

I’ve been using this lovely app for 5 years or so and I have to admit it’s been quite handy whenever I wanted to load numerous new words into my head. But recently, I started to grow an unsatisfactoriness ‘cause against the odd, I encountered some flaws been unable to back to the main page and sort of these weirdness. Hope to get the version I used to love…
