WorkFlowy: Note, List, Outline

This is the best list making note thought taking app I’ve used it for years and it’s by far the most tapped on my phone. Highly recommend.

Exactly what I was looking for. Can’t believe it took me so long to find it.

I have to give it five stars for the impact that it has on my mental state. For some reason the way this thing works just fits with my way of thinking. The animations are cool in presentations as well. Prefer it over anything I can do in PowerPoint. That being said, I hope they fully adopt advanced features and integration with iOS and Apple Macintosh. When it comes to keeping information safe, Apple has proved itself as the most reliable of the closed source variety.

As a remote mature psychology student, I’ve been dictating my notes into Workflowy on my pc and find it so convenient to be able to collapse a whole course and then expand or search for exactly what I need. Especially for open book exams. Then I have access to my notes from all my courses on my phone in such a concise form, that I can immediately access information I need when helping others. It’s like a personal library. When writing academic papers I use it to plan an outline, then write in the paragraphs, then export. I also store all my personal and family info in Workflowy. It’s my favourite app!

I enjoy the program on app and laptop but recently they limited me to 100 updates. It was easy cut and paste over to dynalist. Google keep is unlimited and free as well.

Enfin un outil parfait pour mes besoins! Listes à cocher, tableaux Kanban, tout ça avec la simplicité d’un document Word, mais qui me permet d’organiser mes idées de façon bien plus productive. C’est l’outil que je cherchais depuis longtemps. Je peux tout faire avec Workflowy, c’est génial!

It beggars belief that many would rather pay exuberant prices for subscriptions to tools that have basically cloned what workflowy have been doing for many years before and to be offered by workflowy at an extremely affordable subscription cost. The simplicity of the framework enables productivity and clarity on steroids.

I take back what I said with Workflowy on iPad OS being ugly. (I used a weird looking typeface that made the app look ugly, whoops) But I still stand with adding notes being a difficult task on iPad. - {Shift} {Return} You can’t even use `/note` to add a note—a functionality that I often use when note taking. Multitasking on iPad with Workflowy is a pain.

I only use Workflowy in a very basic way (just to be able to collapse sub-notes easily and be able to move stuff around by dragging) and it’s one of my favourite and most-essential apps. I was fine using the free version for years and it was more than enough for me, but I recently bought a pro subscription solely to support the company so it never goes away. I’ve even started moving more things into it recently!

adjusting the text size is cumbersome and does not use the ios system settings, but even after going through the process of reducing the text size (you have to carefully goldilocks press the adjust buttons at just the right speed) the size will inevitably revert to some default size after a while. can this please be fixed? thank you
