They don’t tell you that the bms app is from a random unknown chinese manufacture. That app has minimal ability to manage the battery compared to ALL other manufactures. As of August, the company has removed all ability to use the bms app and manage the battery. You can change this by providing your phone, email, IP address and also create an online account that requires more personal information than any company in any industry. Only then can you request to have minimal access and they will likely deny it after a several week delay in response. Additionally the battery is now operating in a constant unknown status. Example, mine drained down to 23% and 0% without recharging while at an rv hookup. After restarting my entire system and all victron components through the app the bms stated it was now charging and would take 80-100 hours to recharge. Within a few minutes it showed the batteries maxed at 100% and taking no charge, although victron shows they are charging. After reaching a full charge this repeated and in a couple days showed them zeroed out, wash, rinse, repeat. So now you cant determine the amount if charge you have at any time nor do you get a discharge reading. This all happened as soon as the company changed the app and requirements. Xiaoxiang recently added a spyware feature disabling controls until you make an account, send them your battery ID and email and IP address, and only then they decide if you are worthy to operate your own battery. And they can record every time you change a parameter. And it doesn't work if you're out of network range. I could not use my JBD BMS battery to power a cooktop while camping after updating the app. Had to hack open my own battery and hotwire the BMS C- to B- pins just to make a meal. -- boltify, 2024-08-12 ### *---- "Protection soft lock" I had just got this app for my new lithium battery, everything was normal until it stopped in the middle of the road.
