The death of Reddit apps feels a lot less painful now this extension makes the site usable on mobile.

Does what it says it will and stops Reddit getting their own way and forcing me into their awful app

This is the only way I use Reddit on mobile, yes it’s not a perfect solution but compared to the official app which literally looks like ‘00s style adware these days it’s a lifesaver.

A fine little extension that does a good job of giving the old Reddit experience, but correctly formatted for your phone screen. Hopefully the dev will add more functionality over time (bigger touch targets for upvoting and downvoting, for collapsing comments etc.) but it’s a great start and makes Reddit at least browsable via Safari following the demise of third party apps, including the beloved Apollo.

Edit 4/22/24: Not even 2 weeks after my original review, the developer added the feature I requested- and unsurprisingly it works flawlessly! If anyone needs me, I will be singing this app’s praises from the hilltops. Original review 4/10/24 (5 stars): It’s WILD how much this has improved my reddit experience. Does what it says, does it well, and offers a good amount of customization options. I would love to be able to skip back to the top level parent comment as opposed to just the child-level comment’s previous child-level parent; currently it seems like you just have to keep tapping “parent” until you reach the top level comment, although I may be missing something? Regardless, I wholeheartedly recommend this app, it is a freaking godsend!

This extension rocks. Somehow it disappeared from my device when I upgraded to iOS 17.4 and I had to go back to my purchase history to remember the name of it and redownload it.

Absolutely one of my favorite Safari utilities. Apple makes getting to its Setting page unnecessarily laborious, but once you’ve set it up the way you like, you’ll have tons of quality of life improvement on mobile. I would love even more options like hiding votes to reclaim horizontal space, but that would just be extra gravy. Worth it. Go get it. Thank you, creator!
