To enable this extension:

- Go to settings > safari > extensions.
- Select the extension.

- At the bottom, for both "reddit.com" and "old.reddit.com", select "Allow".

- Save your preferences.

I’ve been using the web version of Reddit ever since the app fiasco, but it’s been a pain having to switch to old Reddit manually when a web search takes me there. I found this while looking for something like old Reddit redirect for mobile. Was initially disappointed to have to pay for something so simple, but once I gave in and did I realized that this is so so so much more than just a redirect, making the mobile experience significantly better by rearranging and resizing elements to actually be usable!! This makes the website what it should have been all along!!

Edit 4/22/24: Not even 2 weeks after my original review, the developer added the feature I requested- and unsurprisingly it works flawlessly! If anyone needs me, I will be singing this app’s praises from the hilltops. 

Original review 4/10/24 (5 stars): It’s WILD how much this has improved my reddit experience. Does what it says, does it well, and offers a good amount of customization options. I would love to be able to skip back to the top level parent comment as opposed to just the child-level comment’s previous child-level parent; currently it seems like you just have to keep tapping “parent” until you reach the top level comment, although I may be missing something? Regardless, I wholeheartedly recommend this app, it is a freaking godsend!

### ***** "Perfect. Any improvements would only be extra love on top."
Absolutely one of my favorite Safari utilities. Apple makes getting to its Setting page unnecessarily laborious, but once you’ve set it up the way you like, you’ll have tons of quality of life improvement on mobile. 

I would love even more options like hiding votes to reclaim horizontal space, but that would just be extra gravy. Worth it. Go get it. Thank you, creator!

I like the old Reddit layout, but I also wanted dark mode support. 

This extension provided that and much more. 
- Converts URLs that don't include the 'old' prefix to the old layout.
- Makes navigating comments really easy. 
- offers some nice mobile options

All that and a very responsive dev. I loved it on my iPad, but had an issue on my Mac. Sent the dev and received a reply same-day, including troubleshooting steps which straightened out the problem.

Sometimes you wonder to yourself  “why someone doesn’t do something eg create a way to format old Reddit to be readable on mobile?”

Then you find out it exists! Nice job. 

The quality of Reddit will not be improved by this app unfortunately, and I question how long they allow old.Reddit to exist, but for a one time fee this is just what I needed for however long we have left.

Was using privacy redirect and kept getting “old hat” image issues. Instead of spending time trying to fix it (and likely not getting it knowing me), I spent $3 for this upgrade. Better than expected due to the built in quality of life improvements: zoomed in at the perfect level, skip and forward options, ad removal. Simpler and better than having a dedicated Reddit app for a casual user like myself. Would certainly recommend if you’re looking to use old Reddit through Safari.
