Hi I think half of my apps I can password protect. This app showing all my money does not have. I still do not get it... but it is great nevertheless
this app wants to take my money just because I wanted to look at it.
The app works just st fine. However, the functionality provided is just entry of transaction. If you would like to make changes to your budget - you need to use the web version. The trouble is that even some basic things - like creating a new category - are not possible within the mobile app. The potential is definitely there - but web-interface features should be added to the mobile app. Then this would be a 5-star app.
Opens with a weird series of prompts to build a mock budget then immediately prompts you to create a mandatory account and a paid subscription. For a budget app. No free, anonymous content available to see if it's worth using. Dozens of other choices out there that aren't squeezing you for a budget app.
I have been trying to cancel this thing and it still has NoT cancel!!! I didn’t put any of my info here!
This app will truly help you manage your money and come to see it as you really should. With managing money overall along with overseeing credit cards and loans, it can help with all of it. The only thing is, they update and change the layout of the app quite frequently without input so something could be moved to another screen which can quite annoying if you’re learning the app or have gotten used to something being in a specific spot. But I wouldn’t let that alter the fact that this app will never leave my phone because it’s that important and beneficial to your money management no matter how annoying their design team is with their updates most times.
Other apps “track” and you never really know where your money is actually going to end up. This method actually lets you KNOW where your money is by assigning it a purpose. It’s amazing. Yes, you can’t “track” net worth overall with assets like your car and such as other budget apps do…or the loans you have - but you can still accomplish this with YNAB by still assigning the money as a savings goal. I currently do a “forecast” spreadsheet to estimate what my budget should be and then put it in YNAB and follow. I model different scenarios to see what my budget may look like or need to adjust when that scenario comes. This would be my one feature request if this was built in somehow.
I’ve been using YNAB for longer than I want to admit. I was a user of the desktop version YNAB 4. What really sold me 10 years ago was Jesse’s down to earth approach and the four simple rules. The philosophy and application were instrumental in my personal finance journey. I am still using the four simple rules.
The homepage has got to be the most ugly feature that this entire application has. And what’s up with plan last time I checked or called you need a budget. In fact, I need a budget. I don’t need a plan but the way this company is going. I really regret renewing my subscription. Ever since Jesse stepped back everything has gone downhill.
