I don’t understand this app. I subscribe a couple of days ago and I still don’t have access to VIP show and can’t watch anything.

Dear YOUKU, please fix the subtitles display on your app. The text is white with no black background to make it stand out, therefore, making it harder to read. Sometimes it blends in with the white background making the subtitles difficult to read or disappeared completely. Now the subtitle have this weird lines on them that makes them unreadable and even harder to read; it is like the text have missing spaces in the letter. I gave this feedback/suggestions a few months ago to request a black background to your white subtitle texts to make it easy to read like how it is displayed on the Netflix app, Tencent app, and iQIYI app. But nothing was ever resolved. Because I’m seeing other customer’s comments and reviews on the subtitles problem. Your customers might not renew their subscription if they can’t read the subtitles clearly. I hope you will implement these changes to your app soon. Even if you have great dramas on your app, you will probably or eventually lose customers if they have a hard time reading the subtitles. Thank you for your time in reading my post.

I couldn’t really use the app due to crashes and loading errors, if you click on icon of show it instantly starts to play it, when like hey i want to read the premise before watching it! Most shows are vip id say 92 percent

The app stopped working after the last update. The subtitles have weird lines going through them, so they’re unreadable. The app support doesn’t work either. Nothing is responsive. I used to love the app. Now I have to unsubscribe.

Almost all of the best movies are vip how are we supposed to bye all those good gifs you need o make some of them free like hidden love I will give you 1 star pls fix this

Save your money until these developers improve their APP. I signed on for the promotion of one year at $28 something and renewed at $56 after. I was charged $84.60 so they charged me for the first and second year at once. (Not good business practice) Additionally, I upgraded to the VIP to watch the remaining episodes of a drama and I couldn’t access the remaining episodes so I contacted their service and what they do is release only a number of episode(s) each day; and if you want to access more episodes as a VIP member, you need to pay a couple of dollars($2.99)!!!! Who does that. I’m sorry YOUKU developers but even though your dramas are very good, you’re business model for your APP is sneaky. Yes, I know it’s written in your customer agreement in fine print!
