Zapmap: EV charging points map

Not really sure what the point of Zap Map is any more since Waze and Google Maps have real time EV charging status and status. 'Zap Pay' and 'Payment Cards' in the app is confusing and misleading. Seems like nowhere accepts Zap Pay and you can't get a physical zap card so it's no better than just using contactless where you can find it. I paid for a subscription to the zap map and I'm really not sure what the point of it was - I have had more luck with map filters and paying by app with the manufacturer's app (chargeMyHyundai)

Cannot add my Irish Visa Card on the payment section of the app. Customer Services working on it but as yet no solution. Pity, it seems terrific otherwise.

Need to register to use route planner. Registration form is super janky and no matter what I entered it wouldn’t proceed past the first step, no error messages just a “next” button the does nothing 🤷‍♂️

App is quirky. It’s too easy to cancel an entire route plan by accident. It’s easier if you know your route to drop the pin on the map than have the map search for it. Took two goes to create an account. First attempt never sent a confirmation email. Customer service was excellent. Quick to respond.

This app is absolutely awesome for travelling in UK and the ability to update status via users makes it invaluable. I travelled from Ireland and used it and being able to see all the chargers available and their status really helped get around. Will use it back in Ireland to update charger status.

Money grabbing wasters.

I am getting really tired of going to stations where the App says Allstar is accepted even tho it is not

This app costs a significant outlay for a service that is not yet fit for purpose. In Apple Play mode you constantly have to refresh the screen to get charger location updates. This is very frustrating and inconvenient when driving. Availability of chargers is rarely up to date so is useless. Also if you do add some feedback after a ‘check in’ to such as ‘more chargers here would be useful’, you get a snappy response that you shouldn’t be charging at such a location when busy! Not sure who made them the charging police. As a woman who drives on her own on long journeys I have to choose busier locations for security, not a pub car park with no lights! Just not very consumer friendly to respond like that.

Can you reconsider your position with regard charging for accessing this feature on carplay - seems a little shortsighted in comparison to many other apps?? Could you look at another model eg offer a basic version for free maybe? Thanks

Would be much better if the app could filter to only show chargers that are compatible with your car.
