## Zonos Prepay Description
Prepay duties on U.S. imports. Snap a photo, AI auto-fills customs details (or enter your own), pay in your currency, and get a QR code/Declaration ID for U.S. shipping.

Easily calculate and prepay U.S. duties with Zonos Prepay. Just snap a picture of the items you’re shipping, and our AI fills in the customs details for you, including calculating duty cost. Review/edit the information, pay instantly in your own currency, and ship with confidence. Prefer to enter your item information manually? That’s supported too (no photo required).

Why Zonos Prepay:
- Free account (no subscription costs).
- Prepay duties when required to continue shipping postal to the U.S.
- Save time with auto-filled customs declarations based on a quick photo (or manually enter the item information yourself, if preferred)
- Get accurate, guaranteed duty and tax totals with HTS codes. Neither you nor your recipient will have to pay additional duties, even if customs re-assess your shipment.
- Pay as you go: Pay a clearance/processing fee per shipment, along with the duty cost

How It Works:
1. Create a free account.
2. Select the post you are shipping with (currently supports Canada Post).
3. Click “Add items manually” to enter your item information yourself, or click “Take a picture” to take a photo and have the app auto-populate your item information. You can include all items in one photo, or take multiple photos. Note: Only include items that are shipping within the same box. If you are shipping multiple boxes, only enter and pay for one box at a time, so you get a Declaration ID for each box.
4. Review/edit the item information, then click “Calculate duties” to get the duty costs and associated processing/clearance fees for your shipment.
5. Pay in your own currency. Payment covers both duties and the clearance/processing fee.
6. Present your QR code/Declaration ID at drop-off to confirm duties are prepaid.

I’m trying to get a declaration ID so I can quote a customer on their shipping (via Canada Post) and there is no indication of a declaration ID prior to paying the duty. What if my client says no to the shipping cost? Am I out whatever I paid?

Additionally, I wish there were links to explain certain fees. There’s a processing fee that I can’t tell is from crossing the border into the states, or if it’s a fee the app is charging.

You should allow users to save information, especially for business owners who sell the same products repeatedly. It gets tiring having to re-type the same product description, HS code, price, and country every time. It would be much more efficient if we could save these details—like a “T-shirt description” template—and reuse them whenever needed. This would make the process faster and more convenient.

I understand that this app was put into place fairly quickly. That being said when it’s trying to estimate the shipping of used/vintage items, it is completely off with its estimated values. Sometimes it gives you a zero dollar fee and other times it’s charging you $10 or more. It always seems to default to China for the country of origin.

the look-up from photo is decent, impressive even, but my first try it froze on the second last item in a box full of gifts. I closed and reopened and everything was gone. had to start over. 2nd and 3rd try it seemed to time out? had to start over. I’m on my 4th attempt now. pls pls add a save feature!!

The tagline of this app, as of now says, “calculate duties anywhere”. I need a package sent to me to the US from Canada where I’m from. All the app does is give you a QR code you have to take to the PO and nothing else. So you have to download this app and it doesn’t do what it’s suppose to do, all of which could be done at the local post office. It’s really stupid in this age of automation and simplification, they just want to mine information and data. 🤬
