It is World War II, the story takes place in 1942 and you take on the role of "Super Ace", a brave fighter pilot. There are 20 levels to go through and the goal is to reach Tokyo and destroy the entire Japanese air fleet. And before you reach the main city, you will travel through Midway, Marshall, Attu, Rabaul, Leyte, Saipan, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa. At each level, you start and end on an aircraft carrier. Then on your plane, you fly to struggle against enemies over sea and land and shoot them all down. You get some different power-ups to increase your firepower and chances of survival after destroying certain plane formations. There are such power-ups as two machine guns, two side planes, extra loops and so on.
HOW TO PLAY
* Screen slide: moves the airship - combat plane.
* Choose the plane for your liking and become the flying ace!
* Touch the "lighting" button to make special lightning attacks.
* Select boosters to start easier.
* Defeat enemies and become the War Hero!

Daily quest and rewards did not refresh
Quests, assault and intercept did not refresh. Major bug.
Supply Boxes do not work
i have spent so much effort and cash to get wingman and plane chests (wrenches), but after i claim them, there is no progression!! frustrating. please fix the bug!
Super High CPU
This game runs hot with high CPU utilization even when it is not even 3D and drains the battery fast. Wondering whether the game is mining for coins or doing any illicit activity. Uninstalled.
No wifi
This game is honestly great it used to be my childhood favorite game and what’s even better is that it doesn’t need any WiFi so this is great when traveling or anything your doing so I would rate this 5 stars
45 level
12-16-24 some egoist reprogrammed 45 level,hard and crazy is impossible to drive aircraft through out game filled,I can believe that some people get so easy access to the game programming accounts,12-17-24 now commercial block if you want to save 20 diamonds you can watch a add for second try before back up air plan,is extended to 2 x 15 seconds,insted 5 more seconds after add finished,you can get back,now you have to wait additional tine plus 2x15 seconds extra add..I don’t know what is that all about ? we should all grow up and take responsibilities for civilians and civilians,life is about realistic obligations !
Too many ads!
Why after every level you have to send a bunch of advertisements to me?! I get the game is free but it’s just too much advertising at every single level you pass you are advertising to get your money out of the user’s pocket! It’s not good for me but it’s good for you I guess. I don’t want to see advertisements on the game anymore so I have deleted it from my iPhone!

This is an awesome throwback game, very fun. Once you start you can’t stop playing.

This should be called 1942 HD remastered edition
This is such a good remastered version of the arcade classic 1942 battle for midway this stomps even the HBMAME versions of the classic game you could clone this app and continue to develop off of what you have here and make a brand new 1942 Version 2 and make a whole new rendition of the game whilst keeping this version great job devs!!
