4kiz is a free social networking app for families where parents can post and share their children's creations from ages 4 to 15. It is a new educational social media that nurtures children's creativity by allowing them to post and comment on their daily activities and creations such as artworks, drawings, crafts, music, cartoons, programming, and games in a safe and secure environment.
TikTok, Instagram, X, and Facebook are only available for ages 13 and older due to their terms of use; and YouTube is also recommended for ages 13 and older for posting videos and comments. 4kiz is a social networking service that allows parents and children to manage and post together and is equipped with various functions to enhance safety. 4kiz is meant to be “for kids” and is a children’s app designed to be safe, fun, and educational.

Users can post and share photos, images, and short videos of 5 to 60 seconds, ranging from subtle daily occurrences to a child’s masterpiece, such as drawings, insect and plant observation, picture diaries, essays, crafts, music, picture books, cooking, cartoons, performances, programming, games, and more. The app also has a video editing function that allows users to add stickers and text to their videos.

4kiz is an educational app that promotes connection through follows, hashtags, recommendations, comments, trends, and community, allowing children to connect with each other on their favorite subjects and develop their special skills, curiosity, and creativity.

The new community function allows members-only communities to gather around the same hobbies and favorite themes, and invitation-only groups to be created by elementary schools, clubs, and extracurricular activities. It allows casual chat exchanges via media and text, making it possible to deepen exchanges safely and securely with friends who share interests in games, pets, artworks, pictures, programming, music, movies, cartoons, study, elementary school events, consultations, and more.

By making usernames anonymous with nicknames and creating avatars instead of children's pictures for profile images, we enhance anonymity and increase the security of personal information protection.
◆ Safe and healthy social networking service
To enhance safety, foul language is detected so that words that may be considered bullying, slander, and crime cannot be used. We have devised ways to prevent cyber bullying, which has become a problem among elementary school students. Inappropriate posts are prevented through automatic detection by both AI and human eyes.
◆ Parental control function allows guardians to tailor the use to the unique needs of each family
The parental control function allows guardians to set rules tailored to each family, such as whether parental confirmation is required before a post is published, restrictions on children's comments, followers, time of usage, and community participation. Settings can be tailored to suit the age and development of the child and each family's educational policy. For example, upper elementary school students can be given more autonomy, lower elementary school students can be set to require parental confirmation.
◆ Invite family members and display family comments privately
Not only parents, but also grandparents and relatives can be invited as family members to see their children's posts, like, and comment. Family members' comments are hidden from friends, allowing family members to comment to each other in privacy, and can also be used for communication among distant family members.
