First of thank you ! Been waiting for an official app from Ableton. It’s definitely a great app for what it offers BUT…it can be a lot better I feel like for the almost 10$ that it cost it is definitely lacking in features. I feel like adding support for AU3 on the app will open up a lot more doors I enjoy stock sounds but I’d love to be able to integrate my other apps for sounds, Second maybe a bit more midi control ?

I get that I can sync with the cloud. I DON’T get why I can’t just save/export ideas as a regular Ableton session - I can do it in Korg Gadget… why not here? I want to make an idea, export as Ableton Live session, and send that session to my collaborators. It can just be wav files! Not all everyone uses Live 12, so this is limiting. Please add this feature to get a 5 star review!

I’ve been wanting an app like this for years, you don’t have to press record, you don’t have to set your tempo, you just play until you find something you like and then take the snippet you want. Everything else is automatic. Truly innovative. And a must for Live users. Many have tried to create DAWs for iPhone, but this one by far trumps them all. Good job!!!

After a long time using Ableton Live on the computer, it’s awesome having another interface to try ideas with. It helps me to break some of the monotony of my usual DAW habits. Love that it gives me a different drum kit and other instruments by default because sometimes I’ll challenge myself to only use those without swapping them out, and get creative with it. Can always change stuff too / further ideas in Ableton Live on the computer later. I’m sure there could be room for improvements over time, like any app, but honestly once you get used to the basics of this interface, this app is great and fun to use.

There should be two versions of this app: one for iOS and one for iPadOS. It works fine on an iPhone but not on an iPad Pro. Apple is focusing a lot on Logic Pro for iPad, and I'm worried Ableton might miss this chance.

I love this app. And with the new updates it just keeps getting better. One thing it lacks is the ability to import midi files. Though you can now attach a midi keyboard. Midi files are a wonderful tool to add chord progressions to your ideas. Hopefully you can add this feature in the next update! Thanks

Add velocity modulation and this app will become much more for me than a sketch pad when on the go. Among other things, I love the workflow of the sequencer (especially since the last update with quantization amount) and the random instruments when opening new tracks (although I wished one could keep randomizing the choice of instrument or drum racks until one finds a fitting sound and instrument to start with). Keep up the great work and I look forward to the next updates and improvements!

Great app!!!) but could you ad a landscape mode?

I love this app. But I do have a few suggestions. … You should be able to copy and paste: 1) The entire Row, in the Set. So it can be pasted into a different set. 2) Each Note. 3) Each Clip. Also, the Metronome, and the Graph, should be Numbered. And you should be able to Snap the Notes, and the Tracks, into the Number placements. Thank You for the App, it’s really cool!
