## Absa Activate Description
Activate is a feature-rich digital insurance product consisting of motor, buildings, contents and all-risk cover. The product promises safety, convenience and rewards for driving well.

Safety
-	A free tracking /telematics device is fitted in all your vehicles insured with Activate.
-	The tracking device is packaged with stolen vehicle recovery services, which is already included in the monthly premium.
-	Your telematics device will measure how your vehicle is driven (e.g. speeding, late-night driving, harsh braking and cornering, etc.). An actuarial algorithm then scores your driving behaviour and allocates the cash back.
Convenience
-	Emergency assistance button
-	Driving behaviour (trip scoring and data)
-	Viewing your cash back for good driving
-	Weather alerts and storm tracking
-	Log a claim for any insured item via the App
Rewards
-	Get up to 40% of your motor premiums back in cash after the first three months for driving well.

This has been, without a doubt, the worst experience I’ve ever had with any insurance company. First, the app is completely dysfunctional, and despite numerous calls, it’s clear they have no idea how to resolve the issues.

Whenever I try to reach someone for help with a claim or even a simple account query, I’m either left on hold for hours or unable to speak to a consultant at all. I’ve spent an entire week trying to process a claim, with no progress.

I would strongly advise against using this insurance provider.

Currently, I’m attempting to cancel my policy, but once again, I can’t get in touch with anyone. The level of service is beyond frustrating.

This is the worst app I’ve ever used even their service is terrible. They don’t respond to emails neither do they answer the calls. Apps not been working for months and they have stopped paying me cashback. I want to cancel the insurance 🚮

If I was able to give ABSA no stars on their feedback and response to clients, I would have. I’ve send numerous emails and spend hours on the phone to no avail.  Nobody answers the phones or comes back to you nor do they respond to emails. There’s something to be said about working with frustrating humans rather than with a non responding digital system.  I’m transferring to another insurer because ABSA sure does not care.  They’ve not even contacted me regarding the installation of the telematic device, so much for that selling point.  Stay away!!

First they won’t cancel your insurance; it will take you months to get them to cancel ; and even when you eventually get the cancellation letter they will still continue debiting your account & reinstate the debit when you put a debit stop order.

This app is a complete joke. There’s always something broken, every month and every update comes with something broken. As of 27 June 2024, the app shows that my last trip was on 16 June 2024, and all other trips also reflect as 16 June 2024, duplication all over. It’s broken!

The App don’t refresh my trips on the landing page and there I did not receive any cash back. Error “Unable to Connect” when I try to “View Trip Summary” The trips can be seen on Trips menu on top, here I can see that my score is above 90% for many months. This is very annoying since we loose the money.
