Accounts 3 Checkbook

Does anyone know if you can make your accounts different colors if you have multiple accounts intense to get a little confusing, it would be nice if you could have a variety of colors to differentiate between them, I've been googling and not getting any help and I can't find a support page on Facebook. It's not taking me to a link thank you in advance.

Great App, been using it for years. Quick suggestion on the reoccurring entries… I don’t use this feature because the upcoming transactions only appear when the future date arrives. It would be extremely useful to enter reoccurring transactions and be able to view them plus perhaps an “end-date” option. Other than that, I’m very satisfied with the App, I use it daily without issue. Thank you very much

I’ve been using Accounts 3 for over a year. What led me to it— As I am paid monthly, I have used a paper checkbook register for years to enter all my known repeating monthly expenses and income. Keeping up with one-time transactions, especially from my spouse, was becoming difficult. I searched high and low for an app that would allow me to do replace my current system BUT allow syncing of entries from my husband’s activity, and this app does just that. ALL others either based the register off syncing with your actual bank account (something I do not feel comfortable with) or had absurd fees. Pros- I can enter recurring entries, even on a yearly cycle (great for budgeting expenses like annual vehicle registration or anticipated maintenance costs, etc). You can share your data with other users, great for 2 adults sharing a checking account. Ability to split categories for purchases for tracking budgeting. Suggested improvements: •PLEASE add the ability to show upcoming monthly expenses IN the account view. Currently the only way to do this is POST recurring transactions early which changes the dates, and if you are needing to see how much will be left after all your monthly expenses, you will have to click & post unendlessly, it feels. ***A “select multiple” would be a GREAT feature.** •Ability to clone accounts and to clone sets of recurring transactions into other accounts. •Better syncing between 2 phones. Even after going through the recommended steps and updating the app, syncing would not work seamlessly, sometimes a day or two behind.

I have been using versions of this app for over 3 years. I set up different accounts to monitor different types of spending. I also made up accounts projecting my budget one month out and one year out, and also one for my fixed and variable expenses, and one for my savings goals. I check my bank account every morning over coffee (because I have been hacked a couple of times), and I reconcile my app totals to my bank. Once you get in the groove this is the simplest app I’ve found to use. I do wish I could make my paycheck land on Fridays when the 1st and 15th fall on the weekend, and that I could choose which accounts to include in the tally at the bottom of the main page, since many of my accounts are subsets or projections. There is probably a setting here I could be using to fix that. One of the most useful components is setting up monthly, bi-monthly and annual charges. I set the dates at my pay dates on the 1st and 15th, but put the actual due date in the heading (ex: Phone - 18th), and change the posting date to the due date when it shows up in my account. Nothing catches me off guard now. Not even annual fees for subscriptions and memberships. I don’t link any accounts to the app, to keep a firewall between my actual accounts, so I can’t speak to that as an option. I prefer to be in control of what I input. This app is simple, thorough and flexible. Highly recommended.

I’m have a little trouble. My two iPads have the $ as the currency. But my iPhone has is as ₱. I live in the Philippines but have always been using $. How can I change the iPhone to $ and not ₱. I have try backing up my iPad the recovery that backup to the iPhone. That has not worked. Love the app! How long to get a response???

Used to use an old version of Quicken but needed something I could use on the go. Downloaded this app and it has become my go to register.

I purchased and have been using Accounts 2 since December 2014. In December 2024, I decided to upgrade to Accounts 3 after ten years, which should tell you that I’m a long-time user. I will say that the update is definitely worth the cost. I’m enjoying the ability to now set filters for the following reports: •Expense vs Income •Spending by Category •Income by Category For me, these reports are of great value. Once I purchased Accounts 3, transferring data from Accounts 2 to Accounts 3 was easy!

I’m just wondering on how I can import csv files from my computer to this app?

No matter what, for every transaction, every day, deposits, especially salary ones, should ALWAYS be first, then debits.

I’m on iOS 18.2, and suddenly I cannot save any transactions, or really do anything in the app, unless I quit and re-launch the app at every entry I put in. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, knowing that my account data is backed up to iCloud. Well… seems that is broken too. And since this app has not been updated in 11 months, and I apparently lost all my financial data, I now have to go in search for another app, and recreate all my data. Way to go, SVT!
