I have spent countless hours on the phone trying to resolve the issues with this app. With no luck. Please don’t waste your money.
Since I purchased the app, the odometer reading has not worked. Every couple of days the app says a new version is available and I have to go to the App Store and update or delete/install if the update button doesn’t appear. It often takes over 5 attempts of deleting and installing before the app works again. The last app update was 4 weeks ago according the version history on the App Store.
I have called, I have emailed, I’ve begged Acura to stop the incessant daily notification about the subscriptions I selected not to renew. They transferred me person to person, made me wait, dropped my calls, and never resolved. This app is making me turn off notifications so the subscriptions I did buy I can’t use. Horrible. This app has no controls to select or resolve subscriptions issues.
It has been four months since I purchased my RDX, and the associated app has been non-functional. Despite assurances that the issue is being addressed, there has been no discernible progress. This situation is quite disappointing, as it has significantly diminished my enjoyment of the purchase.
The Acura app is OK while you're using it during the free trial. Only after which Acura wants too much in fees for a yearly subscription and what should be included in a premium vehicle lease. Also, the app is behind in features that Ford now includes with their app for free.
I got free trial for my new SUV, it was worked the whole trial period, but it took fairly long time to lock/unlock vehicles. I’d say between pressing app and car actually locked/unlocked, it took 2-3mins. It did start the engine remotely, again 2-3mins after depending on cell signal strength. After the trail it fail to renew the subscription. On Acura website, it stated there should be a button which is for activation/ deactivation the subscription. Guess what, there is none. Agreed with other comments, whoever developed this app should got fired right away.
Whoever the programmer(s) is/are on this app should get FIRED IMMEDIATELY and replaced by someone who actually knows and cares about what they're doing!!!! In the last year the app has worked for two months....TWO MONTHS!!!!! I am NOT KIDDING when I say this!!!!! This app is already & and instead of getting better, I swear it just gets worse! Please fix this!!!!! Absolutely horrendous!!!!!
I have experienced great disappointment with the app, and it features. I can be 30 feet away from my vehicle, and the app will not be able to connect to my car. I realize everything is based on cell towers and location, but I am finding this to be true, 75% of the time at various locations, even where I have five bars of cellular service. Why does this happen to an app that I have to pay a great deal of monthly fees? My wife drives a Lexus and she has no issues with the remote start, the app, and her service is free of charge with the vehicle.I have had previous app systems for my vehicles, and I have never experienced the same situations. Can someone please advise?
The app is dinosaure functional. Costumer service is disappointing. I called to cancel my renewal before the automatic subscription and the cancellation wasn't done by the incompetent agent I talked to. So I got charged and have not been fully refunded because they needed proof of disposal of my car that I gave back to the dealer. I had to fax twice that proof of disposal; first time they couldn't find the document, second time I wasn't able to fax it because I'm from Canada and the fax is a US number. I'm in dept because of their mistake and they make it so complicated for the full refund. I decided to not waste any time or money anymore; not worth it at all.
I’ve had the Acura app on my last vehicle and new SUV. The app used to be fine, but not anymore. It didn’t work to start my car during very cold weather. They had to reset something on their end. It remote starts now, but all the commands take a very long time. Even simple command to lock the doors. It is quicker to just use my car remote instead of the app. Hopefully they’ll fix this to make it worth the monthly fees. Fee is reasonable I just want it to work a little faster.
