I have been an upstanding customer of AP since the early days of BNPL and I have always been very responsible and paid on-time for 99.99% of my custom it has only been one week in the last decade that I’ve been late paying a couple of payments only to get my availability of funds to ZERO even though I’ve since caught up on my payments… very sad to see this.. I will never be using Afterpay again.

They’re quick demanding for money when you owe them a payment. But as soon as you’re due a refund from them, it’s DAYS to get a reply from their support, and they only reply ONCE per day. And offer no help than “Go ask your bank”. Interesting the difference they act when it’s on the other foot. PAYPAL is FAR superior for support. You can message them and get a reply within an hour, and get consistent replies and support until the problem is resolved. AFTERPAY are very amateurish. Don’t recommend, you’ve been warned…

I love the app—it’s easy to use and very handy! However, I’ve encountered challenges when trying to contact customer support through the chat. While I appreciate the option to connect with a person rather than a chatbot, it can take more than three days to get a response, which is quite frustrating. Since this is currently the only way to reach support, improving response times would greatly enhance the overall user experience.

As mentioned above asked something about to add the card to apple wallet and the representative was so unhelpful. I was granted once the card and he told me to delete it and redo the steps he said so that I will be able to add my card to my watch first then my phone again. Once I did and it still won’t work then he just said I’m might not eligible for an after pay card haha do you see how funny that was! He can’t even understand himself. Not even trying 1% to help instead he just wanted to get paid without working too much haha which is understandable lmao.

I don’t know if you guys just hate me or something I was trying to verify my identity with my valid Medicare card which it says I can but they said I can’t why would the option be there if it don’t let me do it the other options is a drivers license or a passport which I don’t have i am 100% Australian i tried getting my license over 30 times but I can’t because I’m Dyslexic I failed every time thanks for making me depressed

Afterpay has come a long way and is always trying to improve. But as a long term consumer I am frustrated at the lack of flexibility with repayments. It only allows a few date changes which is annoying when you’re only wanting to move a pay by 24hrs. 
If they addressed this they would have a near perfect product.

My account was hacked over a year ago, and I’ve sent multiple inquiries—no response to this day. It’s beyond frustrating. Now, the app has caused my account to go into debt, and I’m being harassed by debt collectors for an Afterpay account I didn’t even authorize. Absolutely unacceptable.

### ***-- "Preferred payment date is a terrible feature"
If you have not set a preferred payment date; my recommendation is don’t do it. 
The feature is unable to be turned off and can disadvantage you. 
Eg. If your preferred payment date is a Monday and you make a purchase on a Friday, you will have less than two weeks to make your first or next payment. The only way around this is to change your preferred payment date to whatever day of the week you are purchasing each time as it applies to any order going forward, and it cannot be applied retroactively. 

The ridiculous advice given by a customer service representative was to only make purchases on the same day each week, which is unrealistic.
