Security issue since Dec 25
Since the Dec 25 update, this app and O-Key no longer launch. As soon as the app is opened, it says that my iPhone has been rooted or jailbroken or in super user mode, and because of that I will not be able to log in. I deleted the app, removed my profile, now it won’t let me activate a profile or log in to AlexBank or O-Key. My iPhone is not jailbroken in fact it’s probably not even possible to JB on iPhone in maybe 8+ years now. I’ve emailed screenshots of the error many times and have not received a reply. Spoken to customer service and they don’t know what I’m talking about. Hoping the tech team here sees this review. It’s obviously something to do with the application itself, it says in the update notes security certificate enhancements so something has caused it to break the application. iOS 17.2.1 XS Max Pro, dual-sim (one is e-SIM) if that possibly has something to do with it. Tried disabling the second sim, this did not help. I see another review on Nov 17 someone else having the same issue. My faceID is broken on my phone, maybe this an issue in new update? But I have been using this app and O-Key for 2+ years it only stopped working in the Dec 25 update. And that doesn’t explain the other person having same issue since Nov 17. All my other banking apps work fine, Egyptian banking apps and overseas banking apps all work fine, even Instapay works fine. It’s just AlexBank and O-Key that have stopped working. The O-Key app was updated at the same time as this app, so something was changed in the security system of both apps and caused this bug. Please please please look into it! Now I can only use the website for internet banking and I can’t do external transfers because I can no longer access O-Key. I don’t want to do a full reset of my phone, I’ve tried reinstalling several times. Honestly I don’t think anyone will even read this review and in the end I probably will have to buy a new phone.
