This app never really works, it’s completely unstable and of late the more they tweak it the worse it becomes. The layout is horrible and finding devices in a smart home is a nonsense. It’s way easier, faster and less clunky to just use the smart home app and I’m personally at the point of just throwing all the Amazon and Alexa products in the bin where they increasingly belong.

We have 6 echo devices (the worst decision I have ever made) the app constantly loosing connections with the devices! God knows how many times I had factory reset the whole environment and reconfigured my network. 
Oh and the worst! The parental control website os usless. I set up a kid's device to "go to sleep" at 2020 and it is still happily playing music at 2100 like the won't synchronise.
