Welcome to APPatient™, the end-to-end patient engagement app created for Modernizing Medicine® patients and providers.

APPatient™ is a mobile, fully-functional patient engagement app that can help both patients and providers save time. Patients can access telehealth and information, and push notifications can keep them up to date on primary medical concerns.  Practices with Premium Patient Connect can take advantage of 24-hour online check-in, expediting intake paperwork. It can also help providers treat patients on the go.

I’ve had to use this system first for my ENT’s office and now my Dermatologist’s office. The major failing of this app is allowing only one username and email per patient. When you’re trying to add dependent children as patients, it’s basically impossible. This app should have the capability to add a family account, where 80% of patient familles have the same insurance, email, phone#, address, and family history. The second worst feature is every condition, surgery, and family history are listed using medical terminology. It took me over 2 hours to add one daughter, because I had to Google every medical term listed for accurate reporting. Now I’m having problems logging into the Dermatologist portal. The app is only using my ENT’s portal info to gain access. When I try logging in to the Dermatologist portal with the same email but different password, it tells me my login information is incorrect. There are many other problems with the app, however the two discussed are the most problematic. This Patient Portal program has been dreadfully designed and executed, having no value to a layperson.

My only complaint would be that I’ve not found a way to change practices. Other medical portals I use, that multiple doctors use, allow me to change practices thru a drop down menu. This would be a big improvement over the present, where you have to actually change the URL.

Difficult to locate meds in list provided. If u have to look at an online lust of meds you are taking- when u return to APPatient, you are directed back to home page. Info regarding meds you are taking does mot match common information a patient would use, know, or understand.

A web  site should not take forever to complete. If Uni Urology is connected to UT Med, my patient info is very complete on that portal. Try connecting these systems- WHY MAKE EVERYTHING SO DIFFICULT FOR YOUR CUSTOMER- THE PATIENT!

I’m unable to create an account. The app tells me to create it via browser but every time I try I’m automatically redirected back to the app. If I delete the app and attempt to create my account first I’m redirected to the App Store. Ridiculous.
