For tiny distances even, that would take 10-15 min to walk it proposes a 2 min drive. That would take 10 min to find a parking lot that again is 5 min walk or more from destination. So short drives are absurd in a European city like Oslo, that strives towards being car free, thriving, living, cosy, bikeable, walkable places, and therefore doesn’t have much parking anywhere in the parts you can call city. Also this is completely against National health advise. Imagine thinking about the health hazard of opting to drive in stead of just walking for 10 or biking for 2 min. Improvement potential: I can’t make the app realise I do not have a car nor want a car (and that I care about my health and the health of the planet.) Could this be added as a function? I have been to the United States and seen that there are many dysfunctional places there called city’s where it might make sense to have the car as a default, so I don’t complain about the functionality there. But if there is anything the current word of ai should make possible, it should at least be possible not to give this kind of advice in functional cities. The way this behaves now, it feels like car propaganda. Who made the app change to this? Please change it back to giving me directions with what I just put in last. Even if that is a 7 hour walk. I might be planning a whole day hike, that’s none of your business. The care taken into the streetviewer with the slight 3D effect is pretty cool detail. I overall prefer maps looks and feels over google maps but unfortunately maps lack knowledge that Google maps has.
