Installed this app, found it not mine, and canceled IMMEDIATELY the same time when I went for trial. Despite canceling right away, they showed “cancellation in process” and charged me $9.99 TWICE (Nov 2 and Nov 9) while my cancellation was supposedly being processed. Never used the app at all. This is a deceptive billing practice. Demanding a full refund DEAR LUCIDA TEAM. Do NOT download this app - their cancellation system is designed to charge you even after you cancel!

As someone who is intermediate in French and has been using Duolingo, I decided to try this one to get my conversations better. However, this is a terrible app. The AI does not even pronounce the French words correctly. I would highly highly suggest you do not go with this app, especially as a new learner if you don’t already know the pronunciation of many of the words.

This app is very deceptive. It promised a 3-day free trial, but my card was charged right away right after I signed up — there was no free trial at all. I contacted the support team to ask for a refund but received no reply.
After checking the App Store, I realized that many other users had the same problem — they were charged immediately despite the app advertising a free trial.
This is dishonest and feels like a scam. Be very careful before subscribing. Apple should really look into this kind of unethical billing behavior.

I was really excited to begin working on correcting the grammatical errors that plague my spoken in French. The app was useful for a time but persistently misheard words that I was correctly, saying or interpreted them as words that sounded exactly the same, but still identified them as incorrect: de/deux etc. The moment the app lost me was when it pronounced quand in Spanish rather than in French and asked me to do the same, despite the fact that I was in the French section.
