Then they added indigo, one of the greatest maps of all time in my opinion and not even OP in my opinion either, just required a lot of grind, time and hard work and running the map hundreds of times but it was all worth it, it finally felt like it was a fair game and it was actually possible to make some type of gold if the played the game regularly, average player could run indigo in about just over a minute and with decent gold loot set make almost 100k per run, with the chests themselves dropping like up to 20k per chest, nearly 6 million every hour, which sounds reasonable with how expensive bloodstar is with everyone needing the Artifact which sells for like 350 million clean. And every once and a while Hedorauh would open which had even better gold loot, but it was limited since it was only available at certain times. Now I know they always nerf gold loot whenever a new map comes out and a new level, but ever since this new map came out a couple days ago, the map it much less in gold loot when you actually take into consideration the amount of time it takes compared to the actual gold you are getting, and even the mini bosses only drop up to 5k with a full gold loot set, and the chests only have maybe 2k at best, why would they change that when this map is even harder and takes longer and new level 91 gear isn’t going to be out for a while so we can’t even run the maps fast. Even if you just binge the first map over and over, you’re making maybe 60k compared to the 100k you would make at indigo in 3x the amount of time, like at least if you’re going to add a new map and not have the lvl 91 gear come out after a while once the new map drops, or at least don’t ruin the gold loot at Elite Elder Woods, or even just keep gold loot at Elite Hedoorah for now until better gear comes out. Like I said as some who has played this game for like 12 years, elderwoods was the first almost hope of being able to actually enjoy this game being able to make reasonable gold, and now the new map just completely ruins that, like seriously can you guys please do something about this such as make the gold loot in the new map -- OGGamer17, 2025-09-20 ### ***-- "Not newbie friendly" The game has had a decline in their player base since I started in 2013 which is understandable. But I think it could have been avoided. It has a very unique art style, a fun and engaging story (though it isn’t very emphasized), and gameplay is enjoyable with nice skills and mechanics. The problem is enemies are too strong and making money is very hard. The game monetizes itself heavily with its paid currency, and this has only gone up as players left the game. Today, most of the remaining player base are veterans who have dumped thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars into it. This crashed the economy, and now any good gear you may get require millions of gold which is virtually impossible for a regular free to play player. Some guides exist, but they are ineffective without the background knowledge of a veteran and require massive time commitments to make a profit. And if you are weak, without new players you keep getting put in empty lobbies and play the whole game alone until you reach the max level and get carried by people who have min-maxed everything. So, new free-to-play players can’t clear content because enemies are too strong. Because of that, they can’t make money. And without money, they can’t clear content. And it becomes a loop until the fresh new player; which is the lifeblood of an MMO, justifiably gets frustrated and quits. With increased monetization by devs, it is unlikely they will change the current system in order to not screw over their micro transaction whales. But it’s hard to blame them, the game was losing players and they had to find a way to make money again. This is what they have chosen. I think the game in reality is probably a 5 star game in terms of content, mechanics, pure gameplay and art style. They randomly pop up, and kill you in about 3 hits. Even on a level 1 map these guys show up following yu through the entire map making it impossible to turn in quests, or even talk to NPCs. (I’m currently level 15, and even going back to level 1 maps, you still can barely kill them.) Not a fun game considering you’re spending your time running rathering than exactly enjoying the game. Other then that no complaints. This is just a HUGE factor in this game. EITHER REMOVE THE KILL’JOY’s or make them killable.
