Very low quality App and user interface. Almost impossible to navigate the process to get your monthly limits increased. There are easier and much quicker ways to transfer moderate sums even if a little more expensive. Not worth the hassle.

I recently sold a property in the UK and have used Atlantic Money to transfer my proceeds to Australia. This required me to get my limits increased as part of their AML processes which was very simple. I have had several transactions delayed apparently by their partner bank in Australia, but the customer service has always been very quick to respond to my questions during UK hours. The only reason I can’t give it a 5 star is the transfer time is too long. Each transaction takes 1-2 weeks.

Such a great transfer service. They offer good rates and the transfer often takes one to two days less EUR to AUD than they state. Have used another very popular service and this one is the best in terms of fees and ease of use. Can’t recommend them enough.

### **--- "Transaction booked at an arbitrary time and tate"
I requested a full review of a recent transaction and what I received was a very picky skim of part-truths. I had booked a transaction at a rate of 1.62, confirmed and waited for processing, and after considerable time, heard from Atlantic that more details of my funds were required to increase what you guys call a “custom” limit. Please don’t call it that - it’s imposed by you, not the customer, and it’s at a standardised level, so kot at all what “custom” means. I kept uploading statements and you kept rejecting them and asking for more. It went on for 3 or 4 days. All the while I was in contact with staff via WhatsApp to explain extra details from my side (on my initiative) because the info you were requesting a) didn’t really prove what you were trying to establish, and b) the upload feature doesn’t function correctly (it looks like you’re uploading several docs at a time but I don’t think it was. Eventually, after uploading the same docs again, it was (arbitrarily) decided that the funds were legit and the transaction went through. At a lower rate, whereby I lost several hundred dollars compared to the transaction rate that I booked at. While chatting to the staff I ALSO communicated my fear and asked whether I would need to cancel the transaction and rebook or risk receiving an intransparent rate (which is exactly what happened). Staff provided intransparent answers like “we do not profit from from rate adjustments during transactions”. A day later, the rate improved again and I would indeed have been better off cancelling and waiting so that at least I would know what rate I was going to get. You guys made the trade without me knowing the rate, and it was at a low point in that week. I asked for a review and got some pretty high level nonsense so now I have taken the time to tell you what happened. I’m not sleeping on the streets and howling but I think this was not the way Atlantic is supposed to work and I’m pretty disappointed this happened. I also value the operation (or I wouldn’t take the time!) but the way you’re handling evidence of funds stuff is neither solid for security purposes nor function for practical purposes. Hope this helps.

Even with more cons that pros I give a 3/5 because fees/rates are very important in this industry.

Pros
- Best fees and rates out there (at the minute)

Cons
- Limited sending currencies
- Slow receiving process compared to competitors even when paying for the priority processing
- Requires a bit of admin effort to get the sending limits increased
- App is a bit buggy e.g. can’t navigate the rest of the app while waiting for supporting documents for an outstanding transfer
