At first, I was scared that the game wasnt that good like everyone saying it is, like its just poker with a little extras no? I was totaly wrong. So I found a "demo" in roblox of the game to test it. After only 2 runs, I came here to buy the game. The game is somehow perfect, its a mix between poker and a dungeon rogue like game where you are a spellcaster managing your mana(your cards), creating your spells(joker combos) to beat the monsters(the blinds). And more your are winning, more you unlock spells, and more you unlock spells, more you can unlock other characters(decks) and more you continue, more gambling. And if you are not familiarize with poker, dont worry, the game let you the time to learn them in a very easy way. So yeah, buying that game was 50(+2 Mult)% worth it.🃏

The mechanics of Balatro make it an absolutely a joy to play. The visuals and sound design compliment the experience. However I can’t see any of the text and it seems there’s no option to change layout or make any improvements in settings other than high contrast cards. Playing this in anything else than a 13 inch iPad is impossible for me. As it is right now I wouldn’t have bought it if I knew this limitation. I know making this acommodations is time consuming and takes a lot of effort to make the UI still fit the overall feel of the game. But having this on my phone and nothing is basically the same. Playing with the zoom feature is also cumbersome and results in unintended inputs. Knowing the story behind Balatro helps to put all of this into context. Hope there is time to make some much needed improvements.

For context, still to this day I haven’t played Solitaire. 
When I started to hear about Balatro I wanted to know what all the fuss was about.
I have to say this game is pure genius. The visuals, sounds, music… but most important of all, the mechanics.
Just be mindful to carry such an addictive game with you all the time.
