Welcome to the official Balatro mobile game!

Hypnotic and endlessly satisfying, Balatro is a magical mix of card games like Solitaire and Poker, that lets you twist the rules in ways never seen before!

Your goal is to beat the Boss Blinds by making strong poker hands.

Find new Jokers that change the game and create awesome and exciting combos! Win enough chips to beat tricky bosses, and find hidden bonus hands and decks as you play. You’ll need all the help you can get to beat the big boss, win the final challenge, and win the game.

Firstly, I got this game for my PC and fell in love... I spent the £9.99 which is a bit dear for a mobile game in my option but it's CERTAINLY worth the price. If you're debating whether or not to buy it;  DO IT. Balatro may be one of the greatest games i've played in a long time, maybe even top 5 for me! (and there's a lot of good games out there so that's saying something) It's very unique, addicting, strategic and most importantly of all, FUN

This is the first ever review I have made on the App Store but I felt that I needed to! This game is an absolute gem! I don’t even like card games and 5 minutes in I was completely hooked. The gameplay feels like it should get repetitive fast but it just doesn’t! The rogue-like nature of the game means that each time you pick it up you can have a wildly different experience.

The joker cards are a stroke of genius and make it so much fun to mix, match and try new things! Each joker is great on its own but by combining them with others you can make some truly broken builds. 

The £10 asking price feels expensive, especially for a relatively simple mobile game but it’s absolutely worth it! This is now my one and only ‘pick it up if you have some time to kill’ game for when you’re waiting on an appointment, in a long car/plane journey or just looking for something to do for 15 mins.

TLDR: Wonderful game. deserves all the hype. Just a minor sound bug I’m experiencing.

Let’s be real. This is an almost perfect game. I wonder if scientists are doing research into how this game can help gambling addicts, if they can get the funding. I bought this’s game on a whim before a nine hour flight. I played it for a continuous three hours and maybe another two hours on and off.

I actually only gave this game four stars instead of five because I hope to catch the devs’ attention. And I couldn’t bring myself to go any lower. 

I play on my headsets 95% of the time and everything is fine with that. The sound design is amazing. The soundtrack is so smart, looping and shifting in just the right way. The satisfying clinks, trills, pings and waves hit just right.

It doesn’t work on my device speakers. I’ve tried everything. Restarting the app, my iPad, updating the app and my device. I even made the mistake of un-installing and reinstalling the app because of which I lost all my progress :( . It’s okay. I Just managed to beat black deck and now I’m about to grind at the higher stakes (wish me luck 🙃)

Still, I’d like to be able to play without headsets or show my friends and family the game, especially when I manage to figure out crazy scores and the crazy sounds they make lol. The visuals, colours and art are charming, I also love the collab with other indie games.

Maybe it’s an issue with my specific iPad model. 

Anyway, thanks for reading this far. It’s a game well worth the money and time!

Having played this for a while now, it is heavily manipulated and massively over priced. The concept is great, but the execution is grim (if you are prone to spotting patterns, this is not the game for you).
Update: just played a game, once I had the jokers that worked with royal cards, I then had FOUR HANDS IN A ROW WITH ZERO ROYALS, honestly this is unacceptable levels of very blatant and extremely unfun manipulation.

Sometimes a run just wouldn’t count at all towards the collection or unlocking things, I finally beat a run using the blue deck and was expecting all the jokers I unlocked to be seen in the collection but no, it was like I didn’t even complete the run at all! This has happened to other people judging by the reviews and has been a bug since January, you have to step up and fix this.
