BeReal is the simplest photo-sharing app where you and your friends post once a day to show what you’re really up to.

The app has the same problem for years and summertime it’s even worse. Random crashes a part of an experience but it also freezes my whole phone, you cannot lock it, change the app for something else, then the search bar doesn’t work for some time. Then the app finally crashes but of course… Now you are late, because you didn’t create your bereal, I guess.

There are several bugs that have been a part of this app for over a year now and still haven’t been fixed despite numerous reports. Main reason for my rating though is the fact that the app sometimes just freezes my entire phone upon launching rendering my phone completely unresponsive for about 10 minutes even after I close the app.

I reality, reality love the ideal of BeReal is such a refreshing spin on social media and my favourite in the last few months. But! It’s a buggy mess I’ve never seen such a buggy crashing non responsive app in my life, very sad. Please fix the instability and you’ll be the king of social media

### ****- "Unlike the idea, not so much some UX choices."
I like the idea behind the app and use it to be in light touch with some friends of me I rarely see in person lately. Also understand the frequent experimenting with new features. 

However, the recent omnipresent “Doubletap to  React” overlay is really, really annoying. 

Also, I think than rather then separate button for longish videos, some short video format (like Apple “live fotos”) invoked by holding the shutter button would be better UX choice.

btw: punctuation still not working even after one year 🤨

seems developers are sleeping and not solving the many issues in app, eg. not functional punctuation comment “jak se máš” is displayed like “jak se mas’ˇ” very sad 😭

I love the originality of this app. It is sonething quite different from other social like Facebook, Instagram, etc.
I also really dig the fact that you cannot just upload photos from your library.
But the application has its downsides like the uploading. It takes very long and is also very buggy. Description gets often lost, sometimes even the whole photo. 
It needs a bit more work.
