BeReal is the simplest photo-sharing app where you and your friends post once a day to show what you’re really up to.

For the past few months the app has been so glitchy. It would kick me off the app and I couldn’t post bereal for months and then it fixed itself and I had no more issues until the other day when I tried to post a bereal and it still had the same BeReal as the day before? And it was the same the next day. My real was up for two days but it only seemed to be on my app. And now when I click into the app it just says it’s loading but I can’t get into the app because it won’t load? It’s very annoying I’ve tried to update and delete the app and still the same thing

I’ve had this app since 2022 and just lost my streak due to a glitch. Been posting everyday for over 2 years and have seen every glitch under the sun. The devs here just don’t care at all. Nothings been fixed, inappropriate ads appear, and the overall user experience is declining. Still awaiting a response to have my streak restored. Shame because I used to love this app.

I really love this app, I think it’s a great concept, but recent updates have really annoyed me with the changes they make. I just think giving someone too many reposts ruins the fun of getting it on time, why engage if I know I can post as late as I want and still get another? And then if I post on time I get 5? I’d rather just post to Instagram or something. I also dislike how everyone’s bereals are now laid out after another; you can’t flick through the ones they posted before like on Instagram. It’s just all laid out by time. It just feels more messy. 

The ads after every 2 bereals is so irritating but that’s probably unavoidable as an app grows, but if it’s making more money then it shouldn’t be as glitchy as it is. For months it likes to kick me now, or not upload my BeReal, or lose bereals I know I’ve taken before. I’ve stopped using the app this year for these reasons, but I keep going back because it used to be so much fun.
