The app doesn’t work. After I opened the app, there was no content, even if the icon, and then the app stopped itself.

If you or someone close to you is considering suicide, a safety plan can be a reminder of the reasons to live and ways to stay safe.
The Beyond Now suicide safety planning app assists you to create your own suicide safety plan; a plan to keep you safe when experiencing suicidal thoughts. Using the app, you can list ideas and contacts to stay safe, including warning signs, coping strategies, reasons for living, and ways to make your environment safe.
Convenient and confidential, Beyond Now puts your safety plan in your pocket so you can access and edit it at any time. You can also email a copy to trusted friends, family or your health professional to help them support you.
Beyond Now is designed to be used as part of your overall mental wellbeing and safety strategy. It is not intended to be your only form of support. Ideally you should work with a health professional or support person to create your plan, at a time when you’re feeling calm and relaxed.
If you know anyone who would find this app useful, talk to them about your concerns and encourage them to download Beyond Now.
If you are in an emergency or at immediate risk of harm, please contact emergency services on triple zero (000).
Background to Beyond Now:
Beyond Now was developed in 2016 by Beyond Blue and Monash University in collaboration with people who have experience with suicidal thoughts or a suicidal crisis.
In March 2024, Beyond Blue transferred ownership of Beyond Now to Lifeline Australia as part of a partnership that aims to provide more clarity for people who are in a crisis and seeking support.
Beyond Blue and Lifeline Australia acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Land on which our organisations stand. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and as our organisations have national reach, we extend our respect to all Elders and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Australia.
We are grateful for the generous input of a number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and representatives from Health Services and organisation which helped shape the design and content of Beyond Now.
A special thanks also to the members of our consultation group for sharing their experiences of suicide and providing ideas, feedback and wisdom during the project.

Not working
The app is great, I’ve had it for years, but now it’s not working on my phone anymore :( I’d appreciate if you could sort it out.
App crashing
App keeps crashing. Gets to the Lifeline loading screen but then you get ejected from the app. Needs maintenance and an update. I’m at a point where I needed to look at my prevention plan again, but can’t even access it. I hope this is resolved soon

Hi I have downloaded the app but it doesn’t seem to work, when I click on the app it goes blank I have deleted and downloaded again but still not working though I would really like to use the app for study and work purposes

Music is great for the soul
Great app to able to be able to add photos to reference and phone contacts to call in your time of need. I just found a great song (through Spotify) that really helps me lift my spirits and would be great to have direct access to this (offline) through the app. Thanks
Beyond blue now app
When I go into my beyond blue safety plan, most particularly when I want to look through and edit my emergency contacts in my safety plan, it always glitches and goes straight out of the app by it self
Fingers crossed they fix the crashes so I can give 5 stars!
I want to 5 star this app so badly. It’s ease of use, simple prompts to create and share a crisis plan, user interface, all great. The easy access for crisis numbers; brilliant. Problem is it crashes constantly and I want to show it to everyone I can (working as a peer support worker) but I literally cannot go between screens without it showing a black screen and force quitting. Hopefully this is fixed in the next update because it is such a great app!

To LukeDogWater and other individuals who are in a similar situation, I want you to know that deciding to KEEP your life is the best decision you could possibly make. As evident within the app, there are reasons for you to LIVE your life, although you may not realise it right now, it is true and you will. As someone who has undergone the same experiences, I know very well that your situations WILL change - for the BETTER. Please stay safe, there are those who care about you - including me.
