The rate mentioned looks grear with a simple calculation but the fact is they charge you almost 4 times of that , by so many excuses !!! 
For a group ride of 4 for 30 min we paid 127 !!!
And fantastic thing is one of the scooter battery died during the ride , for that one they charged us extra !!!! And for them everything looks alright,

The app has no way to contact anyone at the company when issues arise on the road.

My ride simply stopped functioning and i nearly fainted from having to manually push my scooter around.

They tried to charge me to bring the scooter to a park location while it stopped functioning, which would’ve meant a possible 2-3 km. Walk while pushing the scooter

In the app it showed a charge of $8.76 for less than 10 mins and on top of that they charged my credit card 5 times for $14.73 $5.93 $5.93 $3 and $8.76 
This is all for that one ride less than 10 mins

I recently used the bird scooters with some friends and was charged for them even though they locked by themselves just a block or two from our starting point. The last time I used them, I’ve never had a problem with them. The app also didn’t help with the problem as well. We were severely disappointed since we were riding as a group. As well as charged with fees even though we didn’t even ride for a whole minute… I sent an email to them just to get an automatic message with no content!?! I really want a refund and a reason why it locked up and charged me 15 bucks for not even getting two short blocks away

I used the bird after my personal scooter breaking AND THE APP WOULDNT LET ME FINISH MY RIDE… it was going for over an hour and charged me a lot

Use uber or other scooters services instead.

The customer service staff have zero empathy, and inaccurate information. I accidentally forgot to end my ride, and instead of looking at the evidence I provided the staff provided a generic response and stated that I had already been credited and disputed the extra charge. I have not, but the staff member assured me otherwise.

I probably had a $10 ride, they’ve charged me $50, and will only credit $16.10 for some reason. There automated system says I can only have the $16, and they’re staff reiterated this. I’m not expecting a total refund but the lack of understanding and bad customer service makes the whole experience worse.

I noticed a bird scooter near where I catch the bus.  I downloaded the app, signed up, did the dance and the scooter’s throttle was defective.  The scooter started its ride in a no-parking zone, but would not let me end the ride.  I went through the steps with the chat bot with no success.  It told me that it would pass my information along to a person but then fell silent.  I walked away from the scooter and was charged for the time it took before I could delete the app.  Worst experience.

Apparently you cannot just park mostly anywhere unlike other scooter services. I tried to take a scooter home and then I discovered I had to drive five minutes away to park which defeats the purpose. 

I got charged additional fees for going off a route. Charged 50 cents a minute while trying to find a designated parking spot that worked.  

This entire service is awful and you should avoid it.
