Bitdefender Mobile Security

This system is installed on my phones / iPads and macs. It is the last time I will use bitdefender. The apps are stopping me using the internet correctly, banking apps don’t allow the VPNs. The scans all come up with web protection not on. Turn it on and it turns itself off when using bitdefender VPN, you then get mails saying your device is now at risk. Make your mind up what is safe and what not. The VPN slows my 1000Mbit fibre down to below 200Mbit. The virus scanner no longer updates itself…. I think this has become a risk to itself.

I used Bitdefender for several years, but had been dissatisfied with their services. First, all data that you access on internet it is routed through their servers, that is, they know everything you do and you lose any privacy. Second, the most disturbing behaviour they manifest, is that when renewing the service your new period does not begin at the end of the old one, but at the time the payment is done and that really made me not trust them at all. This is a predatory behaviour, as you are their client already but still try to screw you. The third- but not least! , immediately after closing my dealings with them I’ve got unauthorised banking transactions on the same card that I’ve used to pay their services! This never happened to me before, and though I have no other proof besides timing and rarity of the event, the likelihood of this is very high as the payment service they use is also theirs (GECAD Group).

If you turn on vpn it switches off its web security and vice versa. Also it doesn’t integrate with its own separate vpn application (which it says is a newer product, so why not incorporate it into the mobile security app?). It also causes problems with the Apple Mail application regarding sending/receiving emails, as well as with the Ring app to view your security cameras. Too many problems with this app, which is concerning when you would think a security app would be more advanced in its implementation and use.

You led me in with the word free and it wasn’t so you misrepresented on ur advert so if i was going to buy I wouldn’t have because your advert seemed dishonest

Great mobile security would recommend

I am 80 and found it hard to get my head round this application. With determination and persistence I got there. It’s good what it does and I feel safe with its protection.

Got this subscription for my iPhone. Paid for it, then still showing free version. Restore purchase button not doing anything. Tried contacting, but just fobbed off with help pages. Terrible!

Had Bitdefender for some years on Pc Laptop and iPhone and never reregretted it easey to use does brilliant job of protection

Can’t get this to work I bought premium package which included phone protection but every time I run scan says web protection and vpn need turning on, I go to both and I see they are running! Confused by this app,have had no luck running vpn on laptop either so deleted that bit. Never connects and seems to screw up my normal internet and teams connections. All ok since I uninstalled it all

I paid from mobile security which includes vpn for phone. It did work on my phone and tablet but not anymore, iPad vpn is completely gone and phone keeps turning itself on and off. Was good now no so much.
