Приложение не работает.
I don’t know why I keep having problems with this app on my IPad, every time I download it there is always something wrong, either it closes whenever I try to read something on it or what’s happening to me right now. It won’t let me log in, it keeps saying some sort of error occurs or that it failed to authenticate.
I only used the app to read and buy novels in Japanese. Now the feature is removed. Time to move to other apps.
I enjoy bookwalker. I have purchased over 600 books and will not be stopping. I am concerned that I cannot have a local archive copy of my books. Bookwalker’s ability to correctly display my purchased epub books from stores is very nice. I would like the ability to add epub books to the bookshelves. It may seem silly, but I would like to see all of my books in one place.
Bookwalker has separated out the Japanese and English versions of the store in what seems to be a money grab. This would be more tolerable if the service, website, and application were improving at an acceptable rate, but they're all getting worse. Data validation is terrible (subscriptions to Manga might randomly get you the Light Novel too or vice versa and Bookwalker won't refund the purchase even as store credit, sometimes you're looking at a series and it's sorted horribly like 5 1 10 11 2 4 6 3 7 8 9, titles within a series don't match... the list goes on and on). I don't really care if this is also the publisher's fault for not getting the metadata right when sending books/chapters/etc to Bookwalker, it's the service's responsibility to make sure users have a decent experience. Add a data validation step and pay people who care about user experience to review submissions. The app crashes all the time, even on the latest, most powerful iPad Pro and iPhone devices. Closing a book? Why show your library or bookshelf when it could crash instead! Writing a review of the book before closing it? No, time to crash! Opening a downloaded book? How about a crash instead? Downloading books on a wired internet connection before a long flight? Don't switch away from the app, because downloading can't happen in the background. Also, don't read books while downloading is happening, because that's gonna cause a crash! Also, don't be downloading too many books at a time or it'll be time to crash! Also, don't look away from the screen because it's time to crash! Hopefully the App Store doesn't crash when I submit this review.
This is great app to buy light novels.
It’s a bit annoying with the constant crashes that occur when reading, I really hope it can be fixed soon, but otherwise a great app! I also think making the page stay on the present slide and making the swipe more faster would be a very great addition to the app.
I use Bookwalker for most of my manga and light novels but the "feature" where you have to either use the web browser or change your system language to access the Japanese store is frustrating. You used to be able to switch between them freely. It doesn't take long to switch your system language, and if you're reading Japanese books it's probably not too big of a deal to have it in Japanese permanently, but it's just an unnesseary step that makes the app slightly more hostile and gives benefit to any competition. For the developer responder, having to swtich system language or operate outside of the app to use the app is not a fix, it's a hack. Please fix the issue.
I’m sorry but the app has issues, had to log in 4 times for it to work, I was getting some “bad request” error. And I know it was not an issue with the username/pass because I got the successful sign in notification email for each attempt.
