Meet your professional tool for breathing exercises and meditation!

Since its launch, Box Breathe has become a trusted companion for thousands of people who practice meditation and yogic breathing, as well as those who struggle with panic attacks and insomnia or just look for a simple tool to help them relax through breathing. Athletes use Box Breathe to control and calm breath both during and after intense workouts, running or swimming.

With simple and intuitive design at its core, Box Breathe offers a highly customizable set of features to satisfy your goals:

- choose between “classic” Box mode with equal durations of breathing phases and “free-form” mode in which you can specify individual duration for each phase
- program your breathing session with a convenient timer by setting either a number of breathing cycles or an overall duration
- adjust duration of breathing phases with simple swipes before or during a session
- plan your weekly breathing sessions and set reminders
- save your breathing patterns and quickly access them from a context menu on main screen
- mark each breathing phase with a Siri voice guide or a different sound and custom designed haptic feedback (custom haptics are supported on iPhone 8 and later models running iOS 13)
- set haptic response for every second of your breathing session (not supported on devices prior to iPhone 6s)
- built-in metronome helps you count every second of your breathing session
- track your progress with detailed overall, yearly, monthly, weekly and daily stats
- with iOS 13, choose between white and orange themes for Dark Mode
- Apple Health integration
- independent app for Apple Watch with even greater functionality
- on Apple Watch, follow your heart rate as you breathe
- Apple Watch app works in background, tapping your wrist to mark each following breathing step
- Apple Watch app offers different haptics for inhale and exhale phases, as well as a light haptic marking each second of your session.

This app looked promising but unfortunately stops after about thirty seconds on the phone and watch. I checked all the usual settings for background refresh etc but still does it. Pity

Was my fav app for the Apple Watch for the last three years. I paid for it. Needs updating. Times-out after a period of time despite adjusting the relevant settings and  the presets will not work. 
It’s was once a good app but let down by the developer who appears to be asleep.

### ***** "A massive thank you"
I suffer from anxiety and get exhausted with number of things running around in life. I do mindfulness but sometimes one has to take too many steps to start.

This app is god sent - no nonsense music or someone talking into your ears. Just breathe for as long as you like. It can be customised by selecting various breathing techniques and time.

As a thanks I purchased both the add-in as well. They are 0.89 p each, that wont hurt me but hopefully it will help the developer to keep updating the app. 

I will be grateful if more breathing techniques can be added to the app, though you can add themselves. I hope the developer keeps supporting the mental health. 

And finally apple watch support is an icing on the cake. I will highly recommend this app to everyone.

nice design and user friendly, allowing for variables. However, not wanting to watch the screen as I practise box breath, I was really looking for a guided audio 'counter' so I wouldn't have to do the counting part in my head. Although you can choose a sound for the start of each of the 4 parts of the cycle, there is no sound (or better still, a voice counter eg ‘8....7....6...’) for the individual seconds - and so I find I still have to do the counting in my head (the counting helps pace the breath, otherwise just hearing a sound at the beginning of each phase of the cycle is too sudden). Unfortunately this means after using it once I won't be using it again, which is a shame and a bit of a waste

After some initial niggles with the watch app (which the developer fixed within a week of reporting!) this app is now absolutely perfect for my needs. It can even run in the background on the watch!
