Lately there are hardly ever more than 4 lobbies going. I try to find a table for 2 players wanting to play 3 or 4 rounds with someone close to my own level and hardly ever find anyone. They’re all A and B who win more than half, frequently more than 60% of the time. I don’t want to risk the same 500 points on one or two rounds, being 5 or ten minutes of possible entertainment. The risk shouldn’t be the same. So I open my own table. Sometimes people in my own range show up, but then times like this morning 3 consecutive people who were rated A with very high winning percentages chose to “slum it” and all 3 won. They couldn’t collect points since I started the day as a C, but ate up my credits and further drove down my own rating, altho there’s little you can do when you keep getting random cards while they get multiple clean books before they even open their foot, etc. Sometimes that happens regardless of who you’re playing, and I’ve found that when it does, it usually keeps happening over and over for quite some time. Which is probably why there are fewer and fewer people playing. 2nd Update: I’d like to suggest that points be awarded or not based on the relative winning percentages of the players involved. I frequently move back and forth amongB,C,&D, and was recently even briefly an E, while my winning percentage remained the same thruout. I’ve seen other players with winning rates over 50% currently rated C or D. I’ve just moved from 37 to 38%, and if I beat someone who wins more than half the time, I deserve points, regardless of whether I’m currently a B and they’re currently a D. The letters change pretty easily, while the percentages take forever to to change, so the percentages are a better indicator of a player’s overall skill level. I’ve gotten so I mostly ignore the letters and just look at the winning percentage when I’m looking for someone to play. (I try to find people near my own level when I look to join, but when I create a table I accept all comers - we all have our own preferences.) Update: I’ve played a lot more games since receiving your response. All I can say is, if your algorhythm is designed to be truly random toward all players, it does not work. Just a few minutes ago I played a match where, in the opening hand, the opponent, after her initial two card pickup, laid down a joker meld AND a clean book of aces! I enjoy the game but there are a few things leading me to delete the app. First, I think the chat can be nice at times but for the most part people use it to bully other people. Calling them names and abbreviating cuss words because the app doesn’t allow swearing. I’ve reported a few people for bullying and being accusatory of myself or teammates cheating, when we’re just playing the cards we’re dealt. It’s sad a few bad people can ruin a good thing. Secondly, over the last month, I have lost 98% of the games I have played. No matter who I play. I am a 52% C currently and was an A just 2 weeks ago. Losing every single game recently has drastically dropped my rating. I can play 20/30/40% players and still lose by a landslide. I don’t mind losing once in a while it’s part of the game and part of the fun but when it becomes EVERY SINGLE GAME for weeks on end it is very hard to enjoy. I don’t think people cheat but I do think the app favors certain people and deals them cards they can actually use. I’ve been up in the 3rd hand by thousands of points to lose to my opponent by thousands of points due to them getting all the cards they need for their foot plus all clean canastas plus joker melds. It’s ridiculous. Meanwhile I was dealt 7 3s the other night in my foot and STILL picked up 3s from the draw pile. Something isn’t right with that. I don’t know if there’s a way to reset my account and start over but I’m willing to do that to be able to play fair games again.
