Can’t find this obd-dongle

The whole app and scanner stopped to work after forced firmware update on last October. I have paid the whole year subscription but almost three months has already gone without working system. I have used Carly for years without problems, however the big update on October destroyed the whole system

Dont buy if you own a modern VAG car

1. The coding features dont work, because carly cannot handshake the encryption / protections 2. The app doesnt show you any subscription details, i was billed for a service i did not intend to continue. No reminders. The subscription bought via the website has to be cancelled one month before renewal. They refused a refund. 3 get obdeleven instead. They partner with VAG and coding should work.

Read the fine print

The yearly renewal is in a small gray print when you order from their website and not in the product name (I.e. The product you order does not contain the words annual or subscription in the name). They also don’t send pre-renewal notifications.. I think this tells everybody enough about their business practises. The app itself mostly works but after buying everything a year ago, it is now upselling content. The smart battery monitor does nothing on a G30.

Scam company.

They take your money. Don’t ship the scanner. The software doesn’t work. Nobody replies from customer service for weeks. Absolutely useless waste of 170€

Has great potential, but…

for my Peugeot RCZ, options/abilities in app are just quite shallow, can’t like code, didn’t even have that ”check used car” ability, only health check and live data are only things for my Peugeot and I have paid for that year subscription. Also when checking out health, car own screens alarm for some problems like ”ESP broken”, ”ABS is not working” or something like that while it scans the car, but then app itself says that car health is good that no problems were found, so can’t even know for sure which one to believe, my car own computer or this app, which on is bugging out and making those most likely wrong warnings in my car screens? EDIT: Bought also now smart mechanic to finally able to see what are those 2 minor problem fault codes were, and what I find out, it’s same useless mess, no information were given and nothing changed, I have come to conclusion that for 70 price per year (extra over 30€ if want you want useless smart mechanic), this product is so useless that it’s just better to go buy more expensive OBD reader which then would give me so much more correct information and more ablities to do things than this useless product…

Good product, good app but scummy tactics.

Subscription based and but they don't mention this clearly when ordering from website. Only in small print. And don't want to refund when they charge you automatically without you knowing this. Also canceling is a hassle if bought from website. You got to sent several emails to cancel this automatic charge. Just avoid and look somewhere else.

Seems to be scam

This app seems to be a scam. Gives you very little / wrong information about the codes and pushes you to unlock additional expensive features like Smart Mechanic to get to know more. I got P0522 and Carly said is was related to ABS brakes. Googled it and it was about oil pressure sensor instead. Carly advertised that you should buy Smart Mechanic for 40€ to know more. Bought it and got exactly the same public info about oil pressure sensor. Total waste of money and they even refuse to give you refund for that! DO NOT BUY SMART MECHANIC, it’s a scam! I’d rather not buy Carly at all. Seems they are just trying to rip you off.
