Colonies at War is a game set in the 19th century during the rush by colonial powers to colonize the known world. It's a game of building armies and crushing enemies. Pick one of the 28 nations available, look for the best lands nearby, then send in your armies to conquer them. Make allies of your friends, and war on your enemies. Build your navies to control the seas and become the greatest nation in history.

I’ve been playing the French And Indian War game for two years now and I stumbled upon this game. I really love this game and the multitude of countries you can choose from. I was not expecting Zulu, Madhist, Aboriginal or Polynesian to be in this amazing historical game, as they are usually left out in other games, so it was nice to see. One thing I really like about John Gregory’s games is the soundtrack that plays in game. It is also found in the French And Indian War game. The soundtrack is amazing, soothing and relaxing. Thank you John Gregory for producing such an excellent strategy game!

Love this game, have played it constantly for months, mostly just the work map where you all start with one territory, would love some big map variations on that domination theme. But, since the last update you only get 10 points for a win, this used to be 500, that is an absolutely massive drop, is this a mistake, or intentional?

One of the best games on the app store in my opinion. I literally only play this and football manager 2024. The only issue i have is that im on turn 116 and for the last 5 turns my technology has been stuck on 79% at tier 4. Ive noticed its not gone up at all in points despite my change being +654. Any help would really be appreciated! thanks.

Only real issue (in my opinion) is the poor amount of replay-ability. Once you have completed all the scenarios on hard, there isn't too much incentive to play them again. Yeah you can play as another nation, but even then it feels the same.

One suggestion is maybe you could add custom, or alternate scenarios:

Like, what if Africa was completely left to their own devices in the late 1800s, with NO contact from European powers at all? If the confederacy won the civil war, what would be the aftermath in regards to the whole world? Maybe you could pin Russia and the Taiping against each other in an alternate future where they defeated the Qing?

One example of a custom scenario would be if the whole of North and South America broke out in an all out war at around the time of the US civil war? With allies scattered across the continents? Another example could be if in the early 1900s, one of the 3 powers of africa decide to arm up and try to unite the whole continent with the sole purpose of fighting europe?

Perhaps when you can, you could let your own players make up their own scenarios and share them for other people to play? Or include multiplayer? (if you feel cheeky you could pull a polytopia and have people be required to purchase something before being allowed to access multiplayer)

Dont get me wrong: this is an amazing game, i just feel like adding a bit of re playability would get more people playing, and giving players the ability to make, and share their own scenarios (maybe against each other) would make for good word of mouth marketing.

the game is great and all the mechanics are amazing but it does have a few bugs. Like the 50% boost when you have two forts sometimes doesn’t work which is really annoying late game.

I’ve had this game for a few months and have really enjoyed it but recently I have found a bug where the game crashes after a turn whether that’s the first turn I make or the 5/6th turn it will crash and I will have to redo my turn all over again.
I have really enjoyed the game and other than this the game is great. If the developer see this please can you fix this?
