This app never works properly. In the three years I’ve used this product it feels like the issues have only gotten worse and I fear for the safety of the babies of the parents who rely on this terrible app—and the extra sad thing is that this company doesn’t care. Support is so incredibly useless when you contact them. They gaslight you by blaming all their issues on your internet connectivity, when that is not the case (and all these reviews are proof). No surprise that the Premium features don’t work properly either so don’t waste your money or time with that.

They charge you an arm and a leg for an app and include a one year subscription. Then you find out that there is an even more premium subscription. Save your money go to eufy. Better resolution, extra monitor screen and no subscription.

Credit where credit is due; CuboAi hardware has superb design and build quality, but I am extremely disappointed by their app due to both its poor UI experience and unreliability: 1. The app is slow. The app can sometimes be extremely slow to establish connection each time when opened, often taking up to 5 seconds for it to be operational. When you want to change up the sound/lullaby, you also need to wait a couple of seconds when you first bring up the selection menu. 2. The “favourites” tab containing your favourite sounds/lullabies is pretty much pointless because the app always defaults to the tab containing the currently played sound, never the “favourites” tab when you first bring up the sound selection menu. 3. Very little control of which notifications you want to receive. For a product with a main selling point of using AI to alert you of potential hazards, it is perplexing that it also loves to spam you with useless notifications that make it hard to quickly see important app alerts. I don’t care when the nighttime report is ready, nor do I care that the app has snapped cute pictures of my child. These notifications have nothing to do with the safety of my child. 4. Connection randomly drops/monitor freezes. These issues occur completely without warning and is completely unacceptable for a supposedly premium product. 5. Dangerous design flaw. I cannot fathom how this is permitted. CuboAI forcibly updates the app/monitor without user permission. During the update, the monitor/app is completely down. This defeats the entire point of having a monitor if users have to regularly monitor the monitor to see whether it is working. CuboAI should instead notify the user that an update is available and only start it after the user explicitly gives permission. I don’t care how many fancy features you have, if you can’t even get the basic ones to work reliably, the entire monitor is useless. A baby monitor is first and foremost used to keep a baby safe, not to track growth, not to track sleep, not to take cute pictures.

White noise randomly cuts off and their solution through customer support is to have me set up the monitor with another phone that runs on data…. I don’t have a secondary phone, I’m a single mom, so I can’t test it properly for them. The network connection has never been an issue, this problem just started happening after the last update. Will absolutely not be buying this monitor for my next child, huge waste of money, imo when the abruptness of the white noise shutting off wakes up the baby, so now I can’t even use the monitor for one of the intended uses.

This new app update has been terrible. The old app while clunky at least kept my camera connected. This one Jusr consistently disconnects and support just keeps Saying the same thing - use original wire/reset etc. instead of Jusr fixing the issues.

App sucks, camera sucks. Overpriced and the App won’t connect to the camera majority of the time.

For such an expensive monitor, this thing gave me (first time mom) more anxiety than reassurance. I have to constantly check to see if the stream is still live or frozen, unless I have sound on. Even with that, it disconnects and gets stuck multiple times a day. It’s SO UNRELIABLE. Contacting support just means endless back and forth asking you to send a bunch of pictures without providing any real lasting solution. I wish I can get my money back. Total disappointment. Oh also the temp sensor is never accurate don’t even bother w it.

We have been using this camera for 3 years now. The first year was amazing when we had the free CuboAi care subscription. But since we don’t have it anymore the app takes forever to load and open (over 20-30 seconds) and it often crashes down. It has caused us stress because we often can’t see what our baby is up too and we don’t want to disturb him when he is falling asleep… For the price we paid for the camera we are very disappointed…
