DARWIN・AI Art Generator・Paint

nice app

I was anxious to try out creating images with some of these new AI Generative art programs. DARWIN ART was one of the first to come up in Apples AppStore. The sample screens looked great and the publisher had a number of other applications listed which implied they had a track record, and were not a one-and-done fly by night app mill. DARWIN ART requires a subscription to use it, so I signed up. Time to try it out. Selected my options and directed to app to generate the image. Crashed out of the app. Thinking it might be a registration glitch, I closed and restarted the app and tried again. Crashed again. Then tried a simple one word descriptor (castle), still crashed. Time to write the developer, sorry, they seemed to have disabled the send mail button in the contact developer section. Maybe they will read it here. I want to immediately cancel my annual subscription and a full refund to my Apple AppStore account. I happy to help companies to beta test their apps but not on my own nickel. If the app is broken, pull ot off the AppStore until you get it figured out. In the meantime, I will be calling my credit card company, if I don’t see the charges reversed.

15 April 2023 Warning to anyone considering this app. DON’T‼️ DARWIN just constantly crashes when you try to generate anything with it on an iPad Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max. The developer does not respond to app support questions or notes to let them know their app isn’t working and the Apple AppStore really needs to remove this from the store. I question whether Apple even tests these apps before allowing them on the AppStore.

As soon as you hit generate the app shuts off. I have used every avenue available to contact the developer. Either they need to fix it or refund me $19.99. If 1 of these things are not done this app and developer needs to be banned from the App Store as a fraud..

The other reviews were correct- the app crashes whenever you hit the generate button. I’m so frustrated, I was really excited to use this, they have so many cool art choices! Please, please, please fix this issue!! When you do and the app works, I will happily come back and give a higher rating 🥰

Unfortunately when you hit the generate button, the app itself crashes i even updated und restarted my phone thinking that world help but alas i-keep having the same issue and it led me to sadly uninstall the app but if this issue is resolved in the future l May actually come back and try again as it looked very intriguing
