Some suggestions for developers
Generally the app is great! However, there are several things I should point out:
1. When I want to see where I saw the bird, the point of the location is moving, so that I can’t understand where I was (I can see it only without zooming out). Moreover, I would suggest adding a map with marked points where I saw birds.
2. I would also suggest to mark the birds I saw in the general dictionary of birds.
3. I would also suggest to make clickable bird names in the lists that I create, so that I can click on the bird I saw and see the picture and the descriptions.

Lost the dictionary :(
The new edition has lost the dictionary of names in many languages which is an essential feature for use in international environments - where you meet and talk to birders of many nationalities. Most birders only know bird names in their own language. It was a fantastic feature! Also essential for daily users who don’t have access to a full version in their own language.
Otherwise this is an excellent and essential app for any serious birder in west palearctic. However the structure and features in e.g. the SASOL (southern Africa) and Sibley (North America) are even better.
Mangler dansk
Rigtig god app.
Har artsnavne på dansk, men det er forvirrende når beskrivelserne og slægts- og familenavne er engelsk.
Eneste minus er at det er svært at finde “indstillinger”
Svært at finde indstillinger og skifte sprog. Ellers er appen god.
Only scratched the surface
I have had the Bird Guide on my ruggedised iPad mini for a couple of years now and it’s indispensable. Identifying birds by their plumage/sound/behaviour is much easier than with any other source of reference I have.
As a Brit living in Denmark I have both languages set as default and can search the book in either.
The images are superb, and you can enlarge them considerably with no loss of clarity.
My only gripe is that I can’t afford to have the guide on my phone - which isn’t an iPhone.

Seit dem letzten update fehlen einige Arten, z.B. Rebhuhn, Birkhuhn
Blaue Punkte behoben - seit den letzten Updates stürzt die App oft ab
Insgesamt eine hervorragende App. Und äußerst kompakt im Feld. Mittlerweile gab es, seit ich sie nutze, viele Bearbeitungen und Fehlerbehebungen. Ein großes Problem mit blauen Punkten, die die Stelle, die man mit der Fingerkuppe berührte markierten und teilweise dort fixiert blieben wurde endlich behoben. Allerdings stürzt die App seit den letzten beiden Updates sowohl auf dem iPhone als auch dem iPad häufig ab.

Sicher das Beste was der Ornithologe z.Zt. auf dem Markt finden kann!
Da hat man mit der Neuauflage Gutes noch einmal BESSER gemacht!
Sehr gute App mit Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten
Die App ist mein ständiger Begleiter. Als Ergänzung wünsche ich mir eine speicherbare Favoritenfunktion und einen ebenso speicherbaren Artenvergleich.
