## Dexcom Clarity Description
Dexcom Clarity is a diabetes management application for CGM users. It provides relevant insights into users’ retrospective glucose values, patterns, and trends over time.

Dexcom Clarity is an important part of your Dexcom CGM system. It can help you identify glucose patterns and, with your healthcare professional, determine the potential causes of those patterns.

Dexcom Clarity users experience up to 15% increased time in range (70-180mg/dL) as compared to non-users.*

Log in with your Dexcom account to:
•	Keep tabs on your time in range, patterns and other key metrics.
•	Allow clinics to access to your data and reports to make appointments more efficient.
•	Set Time in Range goals.
•	Turn on daily or weekly notifications and emails.
•	View, save, print, and email all reports.
•	Connect to partner apps for more features and benefits.

### **--- "Dysfunctional"
Having lived with T1D for the past 54 years I’m amazed at the technological advancements I’ve seen over the past 2 decades. Dexcom CGMs paired with semi-closed loop automatic insulin pumps like Tandem with Control IQ are the best game changers yet!
I’ve gone from G5, G6, and now G7.  And I had such high hopes for this latest but not greatest upgrade. The G7 itself is flawed, typically provides sporadic & inaccurate readings for the first and last days’ for 4-6hrs! 
The app itself provides great information in many different levels. But its calibration feature is ridiculous! Rejecting 80% of finger-stick BGs calibration attempts.  I also don’t understand why one must pair new CGMs on both the Tandem & Dexcom apps when these devices are paired together??
I do like that the Dex7 app allows for QR scans for  new sensor pairing.

So clarity is a nice concept, it’s not very consistent with the g7 app, as they both give different results using the same sensor. Like one will say time in range is 50% and the other will say 57%… maybe if you had the option of using the same time frame? Eh what do I know… I’m just here to stave off death a little longer…

I’ve been using the monitor 2 months. Clarity is pretty easy to use, but it seems to be missing one thing; the ability to choose specific dates for the report reports generated.  I’ve been sick my glucose numbers are all over the place. I want reports for the first month of my use, but can’t seem to generate them solely for that period. The averages generated with the 2 to 90 are skewed because of my three weeks of illness. Checked the website all over see if there’s a place This, but haven’t found an email or a customer service # for support of this app. Hopefully it developer will be able to answer my questions..

### ***-- "Need to have user defined reports and formats"
Reports are generally nice, but not quite enough for me. I’d love to see more customizable reports in formats such as *.csv files so I can download raw data to my computer to create my own charts and graphs that will be more useful
 for me. For example, I’d like to see how my sleep is affected by glucose activity and how my eating choices several hours earlier enters into the equation. That data isn’t shared between Apple Health and the G7 app. Same goes for other things like skin conditions that can only be tracked manually to see if/when glucose levels may be implicated. Our bodies contain dozens (hundreds or thousands?) of systems that do not work in isolation. 

Update: I discovered there is an export to csv function by logging into my account on the website.   Sadly it’s only partially useful as the raw data  doesn’t include  meal text or details regarding activities. So to get the info I need, have to get glucose data here, then download custom reports to PDF, which then need to be saved as spreadsheet files, edited to remove unnecessary data and formatting, then merged with the glucose data file. Just include ALL data in the export file, please!!!!

1. The Y-axis of the XY graphs is a fixed range between 50-400.  For those able to manage their glucose levels within much smaller ranges, it is almost impossible to see significant variability. 

**Readability would be improved immensely if the Y-axis were scaled to full viewport height, from min to max values** 

2. This is NOT a review of the CGM, but in context, the CGMs have (at least the two I’ve tried so far) frequent dropouts during 1st 24 hours, showing in the app as extremely low level numbers. Subsequent to that, also some wild jumps for just one sample which indicate spurious data

Apart from tracking spikes, the research is clear that average level tracking--and the calculated GMI—is far more important than range tracking (at least for normals and prediabetics), and this completely distorts the averages. I don’t mind that the monitors take time to warm up, but 
**give the option of excluding outliers or a range of bad data from the average glucose level calculations**

I take the same dose via pill every day and also the same dose via injection in the evenings as a type two diabetic. It would be so fabulous to not have to make that entry every single day and just be able to have it automatically be included in my daily, tracking ,for lack of a better term.  When will that become available?

I can’t use this app to recover my password. Whenever I want to try using my email address as my username and reset my password, the app always refers back to my cell phone number, Sends me a code.  I enter the code, then it starts all over again. It never gets any farther than sending me a code and sending me back to the same password reset screen which doesn’t allow me to use my email address.
