The Dexcom G7 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System supports more empowered and integrated diabetes management. Its low-profile, wearable sensor provides real-time glucose data to a user’s compatible display device, no fingersticks required.†  
Dexcom G7 also offers customizable alerts that can help warn of high or low glucose levels, as well as remote monitoring and reporting options that help keep users connected to their loved ones and care teams anytime, anywhere.

In addition to the accurate performance provided by the Dexcom Sensor, you’ll receive other valuable features:
•	Share your glucose data with up to 10 followers who can monitor your glucose data and trends on their compatible smart device with the Dexcom Follow app. Share and Follow functions require an internet connection
•	 Clarity Clinic is now integrated into the G7 connections tab, making it easy to share data with your Clarity healthcare team  
•	Now you can log your estimated fasting glucose in the Dexcom G7 app. Regularly tracking your fasting glucose allows you and your healthcare team to identify trends in your glucose levels

Apple Watch:
•	View your glucose information, trend graph, and alerts right from your wrist with the Dexcom G7 Apple Watch app. Watches require compatible smart device to use app.

G7 app features and partner integrations may differ by region.  Refer to your user guide for more information.

**Compatible smartphone is required to pair a new Dexcom G7 sensor with a compatible Apple Watch. Dexcom G7 users must continuously have their smartphone within 20 feet / 6 meters to utilize the Share/Follow features. Apple Watch is not capable of Share/Follow.

Buggiest piece of app to ever hit my phone, made all the more better by how important it is. Alarms will fire multiple times when attempting to change alert settings when an alert is active. Alarms also sometimes fire in a loop at random. My personal favourite experience was when listening to music through headphones, the app fired an alert but not before maxing out the volume and almost blowing out my eardrums. How this passed QA as medical tech is beyond me. Fix it

There’s some good things here, such as clarity being built in and a better event tracking. But that’s it. This app is terribly optimised, takes forever to open, and randomly crashes, causing stress for my parents, with them not getting notifications when I am incredibly high, due to the app just… shutting down. If it wasn’t a health related app, this would still be terrible, but if someone goes far too low or high, and one of their followers doesn’t know they’re in danger, they could die. Fix this before someone gets hurt or worse

Update: With the app now updated to 2.9, I have found all the issues with v2.8 have resolved and the app remains stable and trouble free so far. Time will tell but this is a good sign and hopefully the G7 system can live up to it's full potential.

The G7 app (v2.8) has lots of potential, with a lot of useful features. The app though crashes so much it makes the long term data collecting almost worthless. Having come over from Libre Freestyle, which has a rock solid app, it's hard to believe that an app so unstable can be sold as a way to manage T1 diabetes.

Like the G6 app before it, this app is clunky, unreliable, and poorly thought out. The app rarely shows current readings, often needing a manual refresh. 

Also, no direct-to-watch support in Australia, which was one of the main selling points. 

Finally, I’ve had poor results from the CGM itself - they rarely last the full duration and are often significantly inaccurate. If not for being locked in due to my pump brand, I’d be switching back to Freestyle Libre in a heartbeat.

I recently switched from g6 to g7 biggest regret ever. The app does not open. It keeps crashing and doesn’t allow me to get readings. I don’t understand how so many apps can function perfectly fine without crashing but an app that is literally life saving can’t manage. I know several other people have had this problem and have had to resort to illegally reverting the app to an older version for it to work. It has been brought to dexcom’s attention yet there is no sight of a fix. Please fix your app as diabetes is stressful enough without this app constantly just breaking.
